  1. I REMEMBER PAUL MCNAMARA PLAYING IT COVERED UP AS LA LA BROOKS IN THE MID NINETIES. HE ALWAYS MISSED THE SPOKEN INTRO OFF. THEN I HAD A TAPE FROM HIM ALSO MISSING THE INTRO OFF. I AGREE WITH BRI. AND THAT DONT HAPPEN VERY OFTEN:lol:. BOUGHT THE RECORD SOMETIME AFTER FOR THE FLIP AND PLAYED THIS SIDE AS YOU DO AND WATCHED THE DRAMA UNFOLD DAVE
  2. THATS WHY I PUT THE `LOL` NEXT TO MY ANSWER PETE, MY ANSWER WAS TOUNGE IN CHEEK. WHILE I TRY TO PLAY ORIGINALS IVE BEEN KNOWN TO PLAY 100 CLUB ANNIVERSARY 45`S OR SAY DAVID RHODES `HUNG UP` AND I WOULD EXPECT TO BE PERSECUTED BY SOME..... BUT IM NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THAT DAVE

  5. I`D AGREE WITH YOUR PRICING PETE AND YOU`RE CERTAINLY ONE OF THE CHEAPEST AROUND AS FAR AS DEALER PRICES ARE CONCERNED. BUT THERE ARE A COUPLE OR THREE SHOP COPIES ON POPSIKE AT £60/70 BUT THEN GOING UP TO £200. I SUPPOSE ITS ALL ABOUT BEING LUCKY ON THE DAY EH DAVE
  6. I THINK MAYBE AFTER 40 ODD YEARS BAND MEMBERS MEMORIES HAVE PROBABLY FADED A BIT.. CANT BEAT BOOKS MAGAZINES AND ACTUAL 45`S FOR PLACING AND DATING STUFF DAVE
  7. books high @ £100 but really tough to sell. my copy made £22 on ebay six months ago dave
  8. the catalogue number tells you all you need to know. .i dated it to sept/oct 1970 without even seeing a date stamped copy. also look at the number below the main catalogue number. that tells you the year anyway. some people have said it exists on usa black stock but of course this is a lie dave

  11. bob , john miles had a us top 40 hit with slow down in 1977.are we really saying that he did the vocals on putting it down to the way i feel. i played it over and over and it didnt sound like him to me also by 1975 he was signed to decca. anything is possible tho, the realistics `the magic that you do ` also came out in canada on columbia. i think maybe they are the same guys on the facebook link dave

  13. he said he only had a couple left about a month ago then 3 weeks ago he stopped listing them when he was listing one a week .. as i said earlier he either sold up or he`s not listing any for a while. time will tell if he suddenly finds another box:rolleyes: dave

  15. yes it was from a bric a brac store that closed. he`s sold around 200 copies of the four tracks .. i think he`s just stopped listing them . maybe he`s sold out. he says he has. time will tell. he also sold a couple of hundred fabulous appollos `some good ` on valtone. there were a couple or three mediocre titles that were poor sellers for him................ a couple on tayster. jo armstead was one. the other was a male vocal thing:g:. forget who off the top of my head and summat else not much kop. thats all tho. its been 3 years now since the find dave

  23. dont think it came out anywhere else on 45 or at least ive never found it. thats not to say its never came out in the lebanon or something like that lol. it came out twice as an lp track before the 45 tho in the uk and the usa dave
