  3. late nineties a few copies turned up so i snapped one up for £25.there were a few about then so it dipped in value a bit. i thought it was a forgotten oldie. still a decent 45 but surely its too fast and frantic to dance to these days dave
  4. the reachers is from 1977 according to the delta stamp. while from 83 onward the synth ran riot in most productions some still sound good to these ears but lots havent stood the test of time. i will always have a soft spot for willie collins, melisa morgan, atlantic starr `silver shadow etc a few 80`s from me curtis anderson - hardest part g c cameron - wait until tomorrow magee - now that i have you j w magee - over and over lonnie smith -galveston bay dave
  5. $125 on music stack................................ i ebayed a mint demo recently and it never made a tenner dave
  6. i think they only left abc a year or so before hey girl became a uk no 1 so theres every chance the group could have re recorded some of there classics. after all what kind of fool was the big usa hit ( no 9 in early 1964) and not hey girl dont bother me. the probe copy is probably a mistake on the uk divisions part as the wouldnt have looked at matrix or tape numbers. the tams did re record hey girl later in the 70`s for sounds south dave
  7. it was an r n b hit in the states in 75.all the issues are real as far as i know. even came out in the uk on private stock.usa copies £30 i reckon dave
  8. nice price on the mathew brown. loads of milage in it as well dave
  9. £1000 to 1200 i think.......................£2000 is more adventurous than my £1000 guess at the tempo`s on diamond jim dave
  10. cud be rite eh joe. ive seen something of his on canadian reo...................... possibly agent oo but cant for the life of me remember now. might have even been s o s. but dave
  11. margie and freddie gone dave
  12. yeh i seen that but no good to me.thanks anyway dave
  13. just checked the white demo and it says 2.58 on it . the same as the stock copy above. the other demo says 2.25 or summat on it so it looks like there is a promo with the spoken intro missed off dave
  14. state condition and best price possible thanks in advance NOW SORTED THANKS dave:hatsoff2:
  15. maybe another pressing plant helped them out. after all it was a decent sized hit in the states dave
  16. dont forget the major cut it twice. in 1963 for okeh and 1970 on curtom dave
  17. a wedge of black stocks probably came over in the 70`s or early 80`s and thats where rod most likely got his from but i dont think there were too many or it would show and it rarely does. for the record mine is a vg (at best) white promo with 4 `x` on label but plays perfect.i bought it in 98 for £100 and being a man of limited means its been the only chance ive had to own it dave
  18. i will check mine today. it a white promo but its the version with spoken intro but im not sure what time it states on the label. i think the run in is smaller on mine than the one in the scan above so perhaps there are promo`s with the intro cut off dave
  19. COPIES MUST BE IN COLLECTIONS OR NO ONE WANTS TO SELL IT. IMO IVE SEEN IT ONLY ABOUT TEN OR SO TIMES IN THE LAST 20 YEARS.........7 OR SO DEMO` AND 3 BLACK STOCKS. I KNOW ITS NOT FASHIONABLE AT THE MOMENT THO DAVE
  20. ITS THE INSTRUMENTAL TO LONELY ONE........................ TEMPO`S /STEPTONES................... ITS CALLED DISC JOCKEY PARADISE. I EVEN PLAYED IT OUT ONCE. WORTH A GRAND ON RARITY COMPARED TO SOME 45`S IMO. I THINK JOE MATTHEWS CAME FIRST DAVE
  21. IT MUST HAVE RUN FOR A FEW YEARS. WHILE I REMEMBER GOING QUITE REGULARLY FROM 89 TO AROUND 93 I REMEMBER DJING THERE MUCH LATER ON 98/99 MAYBE. PETE LOWRIE WAS ON THE SAME NIGHT. I THINK TREV THOMAS WAS RUNNIN IT AT THAT TIME THO. DAVE
  22. a nice copy could be a grand................... much rarer than the likes of the professionals imho. i still dont think its that well known outside of detroit collectors circles dave
  23. there is a white copy ( possibly a promo) counterpart of the blue label copy so maybe this was done first. either way this has sold for £600+ in its time but a nice copy is half that now i reckon ..........obviously less for a beater dave
  24. OURS IS A WHITE PROMO BUT I DONT THINK THERES ANYTHING IN IT REALLY DAVE
