thanks for that john. i believe this to be 100% accurate not that it matters what i think. come to think of it henry showed a copy to me at cleethorpes and asked me if i`d ever heard of it. i said no. then he said thats ok dave neither has anyone else and i`m open to offers on it. at that i promptly spent my £75 budget for the evening and walked off...... not on a fred hymes i`d like to add dave

i know sam had the first copy and it wasnt cheap. but he had it around 1999 and not before. in what way was it different.is there a scan of it ? who has that copy now? i know it was done as a ballad in the 70`s by some other bloke called hymes( first name escapes me). saw it at andy dysons when fredrick111 first surfaced. i thought all the copies came from the same source in the states around 10 years ago and the first copies were £1000 and over the next 3 or 4 years and it tumbled down in value. fair enough its very in demand these days and has gone back up to £200 as the copies have long dried up. but i`d love to see a copy thats different so i can be totally convinced. and by the way its still a tremendous 45 dave

Because its all been said before steve. Did anybody have this before the mid 90s and every copy i seen looks and feels the same. To be honest i'd had a shed load of beer at the chillout yesdy hic and didnt have time for it

thats right steve i did the same but always thought i`d hold out for a magnetics which was only about £2/250 back then and me and bri could just about swing it. sadly wages havent gone up with inflation dave

used to be a regular £5 or 5 for £20 on pat bradys list and was in a lot of boxes in the 90`s. ive just seen it for £250 which i think is obscene. was going to post in the overpriced section thats goin on currently. great record but £250 never in the creation.................................. £75 maybe dave

the uk issue is blue john. made no 12 in the charts usually with a 3 pronged push out center dave

the one i sold was the one above but had 2 x 45s with the gatefold cover 2 tracks on one disc and 3 on the other. is yours a 5 track ep or like the one i sold. mine also played at 45rpm dave

or it is in the case of this 45................. black issue from 1960 odd to mid 67 then blue was phased in so any record on philips that was selling well at that time naturally transgressed dave

of course blacks are earlier but when this was in the usa charts and it was in for 6 months black turned to blue so the last few orig copies are blue........................simples

sold a million copies in the usa 950.000 on black and 50,000 on blue if you got a blue minter best to keep that one.............................. much rarer and not really a 2nd issue
