  1. truth be known theres a lot of gamble copies in the top collections as our bri points out and until the last year or so the chant copy was very tough....interestingly ive only counted 5 copies by `rocksteady` up to now ..3 issues and 2 demo`s the 1st one went for $2000
  2. sold a blue last week for 40
  3. Its plain to me that most people on here charge nearer the top end for their records, not surprising when allot of us have paid the 'Going Rate', but hey I'd never buy a record from John Manships auction, sorry John your way too expensive..but I do like to check what my records are going for generally, and when I come to sell them all off I will offer on here at healthy inflated prices... and round we go.. Mal.C you obviously dont look at my sales then mal . mind you some of my sales from last week have been on here and facebook this week for more lol
  4. i thought it was 1976 but dont ask me why lol
  5. the jocelyn brown did well,,dave charles was cheap
  6. that sounds about right. doesnt seem to show up much theses days
  7. all releases should be on vinyl apart from the original usa variations
  8. cant recall myself or anybody else saying that..you see it your way and i see it mine
  9. the usa grey issue is about the best..or if your into uk stuff the stateside issue with the tall lettering lookin like the motown early 500 series........they are the first issues...of course there`s exotic releases like canadian , south african etc. obviously demo`s revilot in the usa and the london and two stateside demo are more desirable
  10. your opinion really is gospel... ..dont mean shit to me.
  11. thats fair enough.... shoulda played more stuff like it there instead of the direction it ended goin in................anyway im off to listen to this again..in the box for the horse and groom sunday chillout where there will be no house music
  12. in your opinion which sadly you are entitled.. not in mine mate
  13. the original wasnt a house record,, probably one of the 80`s remixes was
  14. grey revilot is the 1st issue in the usa.. pink is a continuation seeing as it made no 27 on the pop charts it sold a lot of copies.. issued twice on stateside in 1966 and then again in 69.. i think the stateside red and white demo turns up less than the london demo personally...the 1969 stateside reissue demo is green
  15. this really should be gone by now
  16. also a white promo of if youre lookin for somebody to love which was the 4th single..sold poorly tho
  17. mines goin in the skip then
  18. not seen that lookalike andy,,good job that one i found was a stamped original. wish i still had it coz i`d sell it again
  19. i have a lovely 7in white promo of if youre lookin for somebody to love ...fits nicely in my wooden 7in box...but only a stocker of prayin sold me white demo a few years ago
  20. i think the spoken intro on the 12 is longer than the 7 but it shouldnt be too difficult to track down, it made no 20 on the r n b charts in the usa in 79 and even got released twice over here in 79 and 86
  21. i cant believe how eugene jeferson has taken off,,, i got one from a local indoor market 10 years ago for £1 and moved it on for £15.. i know its gone up a bit but £100+ wow
  22. yes it is sam and a great copy for the money....it`ll be back on the shelves when i made enough tho
  23. she has had a couple of things played on the northern scene whether we like it or not,,, i thought SFTD was dire but she has made a couple or 3 decent things over the years
  24. blue is certainly tougher...both are original not sure as to which came first
