  1. yes a great podcast chalky....listened to it yet again last night
  2. who said it was bad nev. im not talkin rare records here i`m talkin records period hamilton movement is good but imo al green did at least 5 records that i rate better sinple as that
  3. i like em both but neither would be in my top 1000
  4. i think theres two uk demo`s also they look exactly the same but one has the 1970 release date and the other a 1972 date..... thats the one i used to have
  5. which one sean..hamilton or love stormy..........oops just read above bit
  6. goin back to the jayboy releases,..the sheppards how do you like it /stubborn heart came out in 1970/71 was this another one that they put out just as a soul release or was there demand..i thought it would have been much later when it got played
  7. but they are still both classed as northern soul even tho totally different.styles.....never really got on with the tony clarke..a bit of a dirge.....hamilton movement all the way for me but only an 8
  8. that one on ebay been there a while as its a bit minty.. but he may well and should come down a bit https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Glen-Miller-Where-Is-The-Love-1967-UK-45-DOCTOR-BIRD-/350586044224?pt=UK_Records&hash=item51a08e7f40
  9. no i wasnt sayin it wasnt steve just a bit odd why it should be different..i`d love to hear it
  10. oooooooooooooooooooooo am dizzy roger
  11. nice one rod spot on. it does seem a shame to lock sales and wants threads when folks are on a roll
  12. it most probably is but i think the b side differs on some of the foreign releases, thats disco theme is not the b side on mine..cant think what it is off the top of my head and i aint got it to hand and i think the later french issue is different again, i dont understand why that acetate would be differentwhen all the other releases have the same version as the lp
  13. i think the picture sleeve came with the issue.. any demo with it probably was just married up at some point over the years..make it worth a bit more tho ..£30
  14. bought loads off him myself roger..bloody nice bloke. saw him in marks and spencers the other week
  15. and he`s got a demo on currently,,,thats 6 copies he`s listed in all and he says this is the last one so if you want it nows the time
  16. sounds similar but its not her av...........................and u know somethin i couldnt give mine away last year
  17. bill snow and dave `snowy` morgan
  18. i dont know for certain.. deffo played in 81 could be a 1980 release
  19. its possible....never seen or had one that jumped though
  20. not sure 1979 i think......i think richard played it end of 1980 but was playing it for a while..i have a tape of him playing it in 82 john had the long matrix first then some shorter ones....the longer matrix was always in his guides as the 1st issue. trouble is when new releases are played theres still a chance for them to be repressed by the label owners if found early enough
  21. john manship told me that when this was first played ( richard s i assume) he had a dozen long matrix copies..... the shorter ones turned up a little later
  22. i think theres something like 2 years between the pressing runs and the second lot wouldnt have been done if not for the uk rare soul scene...............just an opinion mind.but it makes a lot of difference to some
  23. the longer matrix is original. i thought that the shorter matrix jesse butler pressed them again when contacted later after plays on the northern soul scene
  24. but unreleased.......simples
