  1. its the one on the plain creamy yellow label thats alegedly the boot, it is stamped and from the same plate but on vinyl rather than styrene. folks have been sayin its a boot from the year dot....well1973 anyway .. not 100% convinced myself just represses after the record was played maybe
  2. the artist could be still pressing them up for all we know especially if he`s still letting copies out 30 years after the record was originally played..... like an elijah cole lucky davis dwight franklin type of scenario who knows the first longer matrix copy is certainly louder and beefier than the shorter when i compared them
  3. on the original 45s it doesnt say any writers...... only on the bootlegs and lps just guess work on their part
  4. really any tune that made billboard pop 100 shouldnt be worth more than $10.......ace spectrum......brown sugar the game is over is another one thats been £100 in its time
  5. where does that come from ged.....i have it as pop no 59 and rnb no 10..still a lot of copies shifted tho and the usa is quite big
  6. both good and both playable....cant recall seeing the slow one for sale
  7. nice price on the eboney essence
  8. could it be that the wand issue was cancelled/ withdrawn due to whatever
  9. the longer matrix is louder also
  10. i think maybe steve g is right..sam coplin got the tracks from george mcgregor..how i dont know. as for writing the tunes were probaby writen by sam or even the band members. dont think its anything to do with ashford simpson or armstead. i`m willing to be proved wrong tho take a look at these https://www.popsike.com/RARE-NORTHERN-SOUL-45-STEMMONS-EXPRESS-KARMA-201/200071886354.html https://www.popsike.com/Stemmons-Express-45-Love-Power-Rare-Pressing-Northern-Soul-Vinyl-Record/300631172726.html
  11. i thought it was dallas....jm said houston in his sales pitch... the stemmons expressway..was that where kennedy was shot
  12. the longer pressed matrix has better sound quality than the shorter matrix and the stamp in the runout is embedded where as the shorter matrix is scratched in... longer matrix is much rarer also...just look at popsike
  13. not rare at all joe but pure quality imho
  14. the first 20/25 releases are very varied indeed
  15. 25 for the chubby i reckon for a sale. i think the longer version of gregg diamond is immense..the 7in lacks a bit.. have both,,wount part with em
  16. there were no precautions in the old days
  17. has anybody notice the two karma variations..blue text with correct spelling ( love power) and black text with incorrect spelling ( love tower)
  18. how did those backing tracks end up in dallas...i dont think ive ever seen a wand issue
  19. sold my stunning clean white demo last year for £125
  20. less than 500 for john wesley..........more than 125 for marva lee
  21. that jackie wilson is well worth a punt
  22. i think the grey and white copies are promo`s... the issue could be on that design also but cant recall seeing one?. issues on the blue screen print are quite rare
  23. over £100 for a sandie shaw pye release..wow who would a thought. it has a strange catalogue number that doesnt tie in with regular uk stuff. i think it was a export copy dutch maybe... never seen a stock copy
