  1. i bought one on ebay about a year ago very cheap..dont think you`ll pay a fantastic amount for it but it findin one of the buggers.. i put it on you tube a while back
  2. wow i posted a while back that this is quite a tough 45.........summertime groove b/w dreamin 1996 surfside..blue vinyl..good luck in your search paul
  3. wow... that would make it rouser test pressing /promo john i`ll have to have a look at it next time i see you..
  4. dont be confused by the fact that early fairmount releases say 1963 on them like cameo and parkway releases that just when the labels were patented ...
  5. f 1016 is a cover of wooley bully by lonnie young blood who had 3 releases on faiirmount.. 1 in 65 & 2 in 66.......i think because of my heart is late 1966 the label folded late 67
  6. and there was a want on here recently for spider
  7. spider a bargain i think...................the hiss is just down to the poor vinyl its on i think andy
  8. i`m certain ive seen one john..black not the coloured issue..but its the same scenario when years ago i saw a sam dees lonely for you promo only for people to say..`.no issue only` you question yourself..did i see that?.. another one was the winstons on curtom..aint nothin like a little lovin ..only on the issue..promo`s double sided and ive been justified with the later two........100%....err 99%lol i seen it..but i dont have it and cant find a picture................. £300 for i clean promo i think
  9. also i would like to add this is just my take on things as i see it and have no concrete evidence..but then again if we had concrete evidence to say rouser was 1st naturally i`d have a rethink
  10. it has the fairmount catalogue number bob....if it were just a local 1st issue it would have had its own number..remember fairmount was a decent label national distributed..also it was edited down when its clearly the same take.fairmount went out of business when cameo bit the dust 18 months after (f1017) was issued........i know normally it would be natural to think small local label picked up by bigger label for national distribution but i dont think thats the case with this 45..a bit like the lee williams stuff on lost nite..remember frank had other releases on fairmount also......i also believe that tommy rouse put it out and frank wasnt interested in it and wanted to move forward not backwards and had the release pulled
  11. that was rick james
  12. a black issue is somethin to behold.... i could understand someone on here asking £400 for that............................ but it wouldnt make that on ebay
  13. yes the best part of the record, the sax break is shamefully cut off in its prime on the rouser copy......no one is certain when it was made but what is certain its a 2nd issue probably done 1968 or later by the producer after cameo/parkway bit the dust,,,,,,,,the release was probably cancelled due to copyright
  14. i always thought that disco was prominently white/poppy voices over the late 70`s style dance beat......if the vocal is soulful then its soul in my book..the double exposure classic in the post above being a prime example....its soul to me..just my opinion and one that wont change with debate
  15. the ringleaders was a dave thorley spin. again unreleased acetate...maybe stafford i think.....the mpac copies were pressed up about 10 years ago again with a las vegas connection....some on red vinyl whether they are legit ....well
  16. eddie lee mattison , vigon & little richard sold

  21. and usually white demo`s too..the stock must be imposible, he wrote the celebrities on boss also... 1965..when did he join the contours?
  22. one of the best
  23. could be the old memory fading but did soul sam play JOTS quite a bit in the very early 90`s.........i think his copy came from tim. didnt really hear IDHT til probably mid 90`s when pete lowrie played it a lot
