  6. when i had it chalks would be over 20 years ago same time as the first press of reconsider and i bought that from dave appleyard along with a mint unplayed dottie and millie...paid more for reconsider than dottie and millie,, ,,, i think john manship auctioned the acetate of suspicion around 1991....done via his mail order list long before internet

  14. the one i had 20 odd years ago had a white label, decent quality and played the proper version. JM auctioned an original 10in acetate of it with all the correct info on it so i copied it on to my white label..wish i`d kept that now
  15. i think the early sussex promo`s had a and b sides on them and the later ones were mono / stereo. i date this to january 1971 before bill withers time. but the presidents were having big hits with 5 10 15 20 25 30 years of love and triangle of love at that time and all sussex resources may well have been put into the presidents. their releases were 207 and 212 & billy woods is 213, so billy may have been shelved.....and not distributed hense my `couple of boxes lying around ` theory
  16. naturally i was thinking from a uk chart hit point of view........... i could understand some of the usa guys comin on this thread and mentioning the parliaments testify or darrell banks open the door....or even cornelius brothers too late to turn back now..... a lot of real soul 45`s were decent pop hits in the usa...youd be surprised
  17. i dont mean to be scaremongering or anything like that but i think there be a couple of boxes of promo`s lying around waiting to be found probably with other buddah distributed stuff in the usa somewhere..stands to reason
