  1. better than watchin telly........where usually there feck all on even with all those channels
  2. probably not..it was a long time ago and only worth a fiver at that point in time
  3. it may just be static who knows... one thing for sure if you were paying $2000 for a record its got to play decent even if there a few marks.......if i dont play well i for one would contemplate sending it back
  4. bet it plays better than mine tony
  5. it sounds a bit distorted..a bit grissly,,,,,the vocals strings etcetera are ok but theres something else goin on in the background that shouldnt be there..they might all be like this.....good record tho..but aint the flipside crap tony the seller even says its destorted but it goes a bit past the intro to my ears
  6. you forgot to add post bob
  7. most issues are styrene and say 1974. there is a rarer vinyl issue.....that says 1973....just a typo imo...thats the one i have and the one JM auctioned recently and got a good price for.....ive had 2 of these 1973 stockers one i bought in 1995 at `pitchers` in rotherham and the one i have now i won on ebay about 8 years ago...i have also had the mono/stereo orig demo and the mono/mono `counterfeit` demo the vinyl is similar to the aristocrats vinyl issue on warner bros. most likely done at same pressing plant
  8. thats sounds feasible andy but theres every chance that a couple or three could have `escaped` from the pressing plant. i wonder who this copy is coming from,,,,,,the states but from whom....i`m sure john will share when he lists it.i hope so.. when chaddy got that red stocker i was recipitant of the poor relation out of that pack that night.still a lucky/happy boy tho
  9. heres my issue....note it says 1973 on it not 1974 and is vinyl not styrene
  10. same seller has had a few copies of eula cooper on tragar, bill wright on tragar and sonia ross on supersound..not many tho

  12. but thats not what the thread is about russell its about pop music hits being covered and played on the northern soul scene and the dont come any bigger than the weavers................leadbelly was not a hit although he wrote the song
