  2. i thought i`d never get the 45 then it popped up on ebay france in a packet of 45s....the rest were rubbish.. just got lucky i guess.. timing right and everything..20 euros... it does happen so keep digging

  8. pretty much what i was gonna post mike
  9. yeh did post above neil..possibly 1997 but defo no earlier than that
  10. my rampart w/d is vinyl not styrene.... and i will point out that while they are reissues the rampart & warner bros 45s are only reissues in the sense like frank beverly on rouser and not done for any uk scene....and are quite valid
  11. yeh it coulda been a bit earlier maybe 1997.... defo not before then tho.... he had great stock too.. tim will a been rubbin his hands
  12. its a great record..and pretty rare even on etah...i had a tape with it covered up as willie tee... cant remember who covered it tho..got all the ingredients as far as rarity and quality.... not sure about how fashionable it is.. as that does count for a lot in the eyes of many
  13. at blacknight...gary was diagnosed with M/S and sold all his stock to anglo about 1999....... he`s on facebook too
  14. i thought about £200... although its much rarer than price sugests..promo is rarer imo but maybe 250 tops
  15. pat brady had a rampart w/d up for auction..it stood at £450 coming into the last few hrs as of yesterday.. not sure if its sold at that tho
  16. it charted in feb 1965 on atlantic and probably wouldnt have been an instant hit and bubbled for a while. before hand... .nola would have preceded atlantic by at least a month...i agree...... nov 1964 for nola
  17. probably just a typo
  18. teasin you made the billboard hot 100.......... only briefly mind poppin in at 97 for a couple of weeks in feb 1965............. made no 88 on cashbox also
  19. never seen her before so it was a must see especially as the wife is also a fan..rare in itself as she aint got soul
  20. this is true but its that common at the moment its almost like goin to the shop to buy a new release..only with inflation the price is the sticking point... the rampart and warner bros 45s are much rarer in 2014
  21. JM sold one for £2800.... not mint either..there was a minter on here for £3500 not long back..dont know if sold tho..i know someone who sold a vg copy for £2600 to a dealer/dj also...and that would be about 7 yrs ago... at the end of the day it doesnt show up often..and the size of this `box` gary cape had has never been determined.... he had copies for sure not tons tho...... and yes neil call it inflation if you want... look at timi yuro on here today, look at eddie parker..christ on a bike i`d want a five copy record for that amount of money...there were 5 djs had it at stoke recently.. thats 5 in same building at same time ref the boots someone just paid 4.5 grand for a tomangoes..which as you know was booted several times years ago
  22. is it me or does there seem to be an awful lot of linda copies kickin around at the moment.. everytime time i look on usa ebay there one for sale... always fetch a lot of money tho
  23. linda and rampart are exactly the same take..the warner bros 45 has the horn intro missed off but after that its the same
