  7. came out in 1967 as the `A` side on carla then stuck on the `B` side of dont sign the papers baby on karen in april 1968..this was his most successful 45 reaching no 29 on the soul charts and even making no 96 on the billboard hot 100 and no 94 on cashbox in june of 1968
  8. i spoke to john about this and usually demos are listed only if theres a big difference in value ...and also some things are not listed because he hasnt had a copy since starting his computer database....around 1999... but some things he`s had prior to that
  9. and dont forget he had his own label too a few years earlier

  14. my fidels on keymen was booming....it could have been pressed on keymen like the fury`s..... no `H` in deadwax
  15. if there is one type of music/genre that is timeless and still stands up it is soul music.... i think thats why we have people coming onto the scene that were never here before
  16. it coulda been the golden hour...... all chart hits pretty much....still very enjoyable...............wow westbound number 9..one of my all time faves of any genre
  17. and really the grey one is just a small recond run done in early 1968 and not done 12 months later....its amazing how these ovides have started popping up now and again after previously thought of not existing...and most are beat up.. i mean... 1000 wonders, tighten up,...tsu`s what good am i....all mine are vg at best but play great
  18. me too..i`d be giving copies to friends locally and selling some real cheap elsewhere..i`m not a dealer... i wish they would all follow the likes of dave thorleys lead when he gets multiple copies like he`s done recently... most are not like that tho..
  19. 125 fair for revels....cant recall if i ever seen a stock copy
  20. its not so much what i think....just having experienced dealers/sellers in the uk and usa over the years..carolinasoul may not have anymore..but even if he had he wouldnt tell..he`ll play the game

  22. it preceeds tighten up by archie bell by a couple of numbers....i thought it was early 1968 or even 1967....this is my copy in the you tube clip altho i never posted up..someone nicked my scan...the 67 could be the year.....the grey one is about a year later i think
  23. dont understand that post henning..weather he has some or not he`s got sense and will keep schtum.. no one in the right mind would admit to having copies of an expensive record...a furniture dealer or a bookseller not armed with the knowledge..but an experienced rare soul dealer will tell NO ONE
  24. some heavyweight prices at christmas ..holidays and jimmy wallace did well..most were over book prices
