The best thing to use if you only need the one side is aluminium tape (as used in car body repair shops) If you need both sides I have plastic welded a small strip of metal to the record edge (cut off staple) but you need a very steady hand and a good eye, dont know if I could still manage this. 12. I seem to remember a dealer in the early ninetees boasting he had bought an entire radio station stock and a Frank Wilson was included, he said it would be up for auction in the near future but I never heard anything further just assumed he never got it. Could he really have sold it privately subject to complete secrecy?

  14. Pete, Stating the obvious your copy is Black, Blue and Silver. There is a Black and Silver issue (Similar to the more common Blue and Silver) I wonder how many different label designs there are, I'm sure there is a Black, Blue and Red as well. Regards Paul

  16. I got the first one out of Black Grape in the early ninetees, I had sent in a wants list with an order for a record, when the ordered record came back enclosed was a mint Jimmy 'Bo' Horne and a request to send back £6.00 (I still have the letter) I told all my close soul friends including Cliff Steel that Black Grape had a few, it even got listed on his next list at £18 described as lots of northern interest. Regards Paul

  22. Hello Chalky, I've had the Thelma 114 & 115 since they were issued? all those years back, was it early 1990's. soon after they came out it was said the Emanuel Laskey was infact Billy Kennedy, but to my ears both sides are certainley sang in the Emanuel Laskey style if it is Billy Kennedy he was a great impersinator of Emanuel Laskey. The two sides credited to Joe Matthews (114) sound to me like Eddie Hill Kind Regards Paul
