I always use hand luggage for more expensive items the rest I pack well and slip them in my main luggage . I do Austen Record Convention when i can and always find varied stuff ( you won’t get the vast numbers we used to ) but you can still get quality . Last visit before COVID hand luggage searched but no problems with 45s in fact a jovial conversation about vinyl ? Plenty of untapped places also unless you have visited every store vintage and vinyl along with every flea market in the USA . It’s a big old place .

Surely the market will readjust ? That price for the Falcons is simply gobsmacking . It has never been particularly rare in fact it was regularly on lists right up to 5 years ago? Always £300 always sold at that price ! It’s a regular thing to be surprised at some of the auction prices, it ain’t just Johns however Tim Brown and Pat Brady’s fetch a good 40 to 50 percent over what is mere mortals in the Uk would ever contemplate for some items . It’s the new breed of armchair bidder leveraged up to the hilt wearing the emperors new cloths etc . It’s 2021 every item has a value but it seems like two different worlds are bidding on them now ?
