  1. VG++to M-. Very nice copy £50 Please PM
  2. OK the delivery wasn't great but for an American he had a basic grasp of the history of the scene and the symbol itself. Maybe he could have been a little more emphatic and stressed that this was just a mistake. If it had to be done a dj or two doing a spot with a few people waving on the float ?
  3. Side Effect album says words by Paul Allen. Credits on Laws Blue Note 75 demo state writers as Laws and Jeffery only.
  4. I've got a copy of "Third finger far-right hand" if you're interested
  5. Exciting ! We're about to be cancelled.
  6. Amsterdam Russ's first paragraph sums it up for me when it comes to Northern. However I do buy quite a lot of reggae 12"s and 7"s mainly from 70's and 80's as to me they're very affordable. I did treat myself to a mint Soul Bros "Train to Skaville" on Ska-Beat which was expensive but nothing like Northern prices. As for so called cheapies I was amazed at the prices and number of unsold copies of 45s on Discogs when I did that 50p and above list on here this past week. 45s that haven't sold on my list for £2 are £5 and above on Discogs.
  7. I'd say higher end VG to VG+ SOLD Plays fine, Some "foxing" on label. £60 Please PM For bargain hunters I've added 16 45s to cheap list.
  8. Vast majority of the 45s on offer are VG+ so can have odd marks and sometimes minimal noise during intro. However they are not trashed copies and nice condition. Anyone not happy with condition can return with no problem [see my sales feedback]. Hopefully cheap enough for their overall condition. 9. For some reason the local fair that visited Hazel Grove had booths with lots of Verve 45s stuck up as decoration I guess ? Around 68/69. I'm with you on the boots. Worthless but I can understand a boot back in 70's being 85p or so and now £5 due to inflation ?
  10. I bet he's confused. He's at the right age. Never heard of it and if it did perhaps re-issue same time as in Spain. I'd bet the wife on it so I can't lose either way.
  11. I use a Klingon plasma deck with titanium warpcell bolts utilising phase induction speakers. Fantastic sound reproduction but I lost my copy of the Servicemen last week when it got sucked into a wormhole.
  12. Thanks Siz. Very sad news. Didn't know him that well but remember him from "Blue Rooms" and other venues.
  13. Never found a copy in USA but did have a copy I bought over here in 70's. I think it was about £12 at the time and moved it on for double maybe.
  14. Long shot I know. Janet Lee Davis I don't wanna know PM me please
  15. A small bar on New Market St Colne, Lancashire. Starting at 2pm with various dj's playing a wide selection of soul music. No dance floor so purely for listening.

  17. It says there's one born every minute. It's a boot. I used to deal with a couple of dj's on beach scene and they often booted UK 45s I'd sent them because they got popular and weren't readily available. As to value you do have a point if it has gone for that kinda money. If I were Swifty I guess I'd shove it on Discogs as it sold on there previously. Say £150 [bargain !] with the option to make an offer. I see you've mastered the art of British polite understatement.
  18. Ordered Saturday, arrived Monday. Can't get better than that. Thanks Mike.
  19. You may know 'em but recommend these two
  20. I'm in exactly the same position as you except my reaction is "FFS" whenever I see something in my collection going for what I consider to be a lot of money. Just tells me similar 45s are now out of my price range. I've given up buying apart from the odd previously unreleased item I like. And whilst I assume bids on JM or any other auction are honoured I see a lot of IMO overpriced set sale 45s going round and round.
  21. Sonics is earliest cut.
  22. Kinda linked I suppose
  23. Referring to "What's going on" which came out in 1971 I think, I've always thought this Jimmy Thomas track from 1969 has a very similar musical feel.
  24. Yes awful. Came out in UK so I came across it at the time as bit of a British collectors thing though never heard it played out. Hard to get I guess though a copy on Discogs now in VG+ for £15.
