I think I disagree with that. I've just sold around £520 worth in 24 hours all averaging £20. Quite a lot of albums in that though. I think the reason a lot of £20 stuff doesn't sell nowadays is that in fact they vary from bloody awful to £5/10. Priced right stuff sells usually. I say usually as I reckon I should have sold my Lee Rogers demo at £20 off last list especially as I then see it on here a couple of days later for £75 !

Link has cleared some of the confusion. Looks like buyers who pay. Sellers pass that on to tax offices in each state but eBay do it for them for certain states. My address is NJ so collecting sales tax already. Still not sure if UK buyers using UK address are now or in future going to have sales tax added on to purchase price. I didn't mention expensive but yes everywhere is but despite "evil" eBay I get bargains IMO on there most weeks. I mean bargains compared to what is being asked over here. At least 50% cheaper.

I don't use Discogs really. Odd thing very very rarely. However I have noticed buying off USA eBay that I am being charged sales tax. Not sure when it came in but I think at least for over a month now. That may be because I use a mate's US address to have records sent to him rather than direct to me. He then sends on "in bulk" to me which does work out cheaper. Does someone buying on the US eBay site but having them sent direct to UK pay the sales tax ? If you sell to the US would you pay sales tax ? It's the buyer who pays sales tax isn't it, not the seller ? Confused !

I think your premise is incorrect. "Agent OO Soul" or "You've been cheating" are just as good musically as the Sweets. Now if you had said how come every record I want appears to be very rare and expensive I'd agree.

I don't think so. Didn't see much of Victor after '91 but Stan kept coming. Stan got more into I guess what's called crossover now. I heard Victor on the radio not that long ago but can't remember what it was. Must have been him as introduced as one of innovators and playlist was two-step and mellow rare groove like Jean Carn, Jones Girls etc. If you know 'em say hello from me.
