  1. I have spent all day racking my brain and I might be wrong but it may just be Steve Plumb who knew
  2. Correct, It came out twice on the flip of Seven The Loser and on it's own both sides (Demo), apologies
  3. First of all let me apologise if this has been covered before You know when you think you know and you cannot remember, I seem to have had a conversation with someone who told me this was an alias and as per usual I have forgotten and a quick search on google didn't help....The Sassy and Billy Jackson link should have told me but......no
  4. Congratulations Richard (I am sure he still wishes to be called that being the type of guy he is) That hopefully means that Colin Curtis is next in line for a service award to music, let's all get voting for my buddy
  5. Tyrone had an accident in his car and went to court in 1997 and won damages for missing shows https://caselaw.findlaw.com/il-court-of-appeals/1200884.html
  6. RIP Mac (great writing indeed)
  7. It was actually know as "bread and lard island" in the belief that the population spend most of their money on big houses and fur coats, so they could only afford to eat bread and lard at home. (although Ken Clarke's dress sense always proved that theory incorrect) The shop you refer to was bulldozed down and all the records were buried with it !!! Is their a plastic detector me wonders.. I got my sealed Ron Matlock LP from in there and Michael Henderson LP's from Alfreton Road
  8. I know but it's all getting flattened Photos inside venue here
  9. Before Elton John played the Dodger Stadium, before Led Zeppelin hit and long before Bono was bothering the stage at Live Aid, these stars, amongst scores of others, were strutting their stuff on stage at a tiny Edwardian boat house, sat on the banks of the River Trent. Great iconic venue (dance floor always was a bit "wonky" though)
  10. It's all here now
  11. It appears that The "" label image was first release and there are 2 more without "" on a few years ago and re-issued again in 2019, maybe someone knows
  12. Thanks so much for that and what a "Sad" story it turned out to be, was Ernest Kelly (if you know) the same Ernest Kelly who owned Lake records (I think he was from Carolina so I might have the wrong guy) I knew of the 2 releases on Mid-Town, interestingly (I think) was this release as well (completely off-tangent)
  13. Catalogue number, my apologies should have put on both A side images
  14. It would be nice to know, I agree, are your images the original, re-issue or this one, (please note the times for the B side)
  15. I agree it says records, not books
  16. Found this article https://eu.usatoday.com/story/life/books/2013/01/13/mary-wells-motown-superstar/1566352/
  17. There is an A - Z here of North Carolina bands and labels which is superb https://www.carolinasoul.org/north.htm
  18. I also think it's harder to get on UK
