  1. Wow...what a find and here's to hearing the tunes I don't suppose the Carla Baker is this Lady, as she did live in New Orleans for a time https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/carlabaker
  2. Believe me there is no way of finding out or I would have done, they must have been called in to perform these tunes and were NEVER credited and this LP never has been on Discogs
  3. Re-mixing time in study is booked for 13th September and will have cuts of the 2 tunes ready around the 20th so will let everyone have a listen
  4. Ha Great shout, but not that version
  5. I can 100% assure you it's different version from a sort of novelty LP There is also a very very nice version of Sweet Illusion (Junior Campbell) Group
  6. Sorry, I should have said it's on a various artists thing a bit like the California Raisons thing I'll get it recorded so you can listen, I really like it as a cover version It's UK and a made up name and please be patient with me as I am trying to research it

  8. This rt Like Northern Soul is a made up name for a scene so to is Lowrider Soul This article is great IMHO and tells you everything https://www.utne.com/arts/classic-lowriders-zm0z12mjzros

  13. Sorry Mike.....Gilly and Chalky did an amazing job on informing me and others about the group and I felt that no more info was necessary as the question has been answered

  18. I have done some digging and found this which is interesting but nothing concrete https://soulfuldetroit.com/archives/2198/1398.html?1039573444 This site seems to contradict the Four Bars assumption anyway https://www.uncamarvy.com/4Bars/4bars.html
  19. Thanks I will speak to Keith and find out more
  20. OOOH Don't know anything about Derrick , can you let me know please
  21. I apologise if this has been covered before and please direct me to a thread if it has. Back in the past before the internet, I seem to recall someone telling me that the "Just Another Girl" the group were The Soul Twins (Hal and Harold Degraffenreid) "Quick Change Artist" who added 2 more to become The Four Pro's. That may be wrong of course and they could be linked to The Professionals "That's Why I Love You" (Regge Green, Fred (Fast Freddie) Anderson, Steve Calloway & Nance (Swiggle) Connor). Perhaps someone knows which info (if any) is correct and clarify
