    Stanley Soul Club - Christmas Event. A few pictures of our visiting soulies at the Stanley Soul Club Christmas Event tonight. A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far who braved the awful weather to join for this event. It was really good to see a few more new visitors come along and join us and we do really appreciate your continued support for our humble Northern Soul and Motown event. A big thank you to both our guest DJ Des Jones and our resident DJ's Karen and Graeme Bickerton and wifey Joan for playing brilliant sets, and to Karen Bradshaw for covering the door, and to all the bar staff for keeping us refreshed throughout the evening. We look forward to seeing everyone on New Year's Eve. THANK YOU EVERYONE. Steve.

    STANLEY SOUL CLUB EVENT - NOVEMBER 4th. Wow !! What a brilliant night we had with one of our highest turnouts of the year. A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for a great night of music delivered by our Special Guest DJ's David Burke and Julie Val who played a great set and kept the for filled, playing alongside our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton who played two fantastic sets through the night with our co-host Joan Rimmer finishing the night off with a brilliant set of Casino classics. Again we saw some new faces for this one, which is testament to the fact that we going from strength to strength each month. Thank you everybody for coming and continuing to support our soul event and we look forward to seeing all again at our next Christmas event on Saturday 9th December when we'll be joined by our very good friend and guest DJ Des Jones (Ramsbottom Soul Club) who will be playing his favorite classics alongside our resident DJ's. ** We'll also have tickets available for our New Year's Eve Celebration at £7.00 each or pre-order them now by contacting either Graeme Bickerton or myself Stephen Rimmer to guarantee your ticket/s as they will go fast ** We hope you can make it but be warned you need to bring your dancing shoes.     Stanley Soul Club Event - August 12th. What a cracking night we had with a great turnout of soulies from near and far who came along and supported our soul event. Again many new faces as well as our regular supporters and we hope you enjoyed the evening. Thank you all for coming and supporting our humble event and we hope that you will return for our forthcoming events. We would like to give a big thank you to our special guest DJ Tony Mundey who played a brilliant set which kept the floor filled throughout with his favorite tunes. A big thank you also to our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton for playing two fantastic sets of classic Northern Soul and Motown tunes with a sprinkling of lesser played tracks which set the floor alive. It was very good of you both to stay and help drop the equipment and pack it away, which I appreciate very much. A big thank you to my wife and co-host DJ Joan for all the hard work it takes to arrange and to setup, and who played two great sets of classic Wigan Casino tunes which really set the mood early doors and late evening. And finially to the birthday girl Karen Bradshaw for helping out on the door and for staying and help load up the equipment and for dropping off the records etc at home. Lot's of good positive feedback and lots of enquiries with regards our organised New Year's Eve soul event. Everything is arranged for this event and just waiting for our tickets from the printers to arrive and will be available at £7.00 each. Please feel free to pre-book tickets in advance but you must collect and pay for them before New Year's Eve as some failed to turn up last year which limited our attendance capacity.     Stanley Soul Club Northern Soul & Motown Event (10/06/2023). A big thank you too everyone who travelled from near and far to attend our event at the Stanley (Burscough). It was good to see friends who we hadn't seen for many years and some new faces who came and supported both ourselves and our guest DJ Tony Brookes who played two brilliant sets in the absence of Graeme Bickerton who was out of action due to illness but Karen Bickerton flew the flag fo both of them playing a great set of classic tunes alongside both Joan and myself. We look forward to hosting our next regular event on the 12th August when our special guest DJ will be Tony Mundey (former Orrell Soul Club) will be joining us to spin his favorite tunes.     Stanley Soul Club event 8th April. What a brilliant night it was with record numbers travelling from near and far to join us for the evening. Lots of new soulies joining us for the evening with loads of positive feedback. We thank you all for coming along and supporting our event as we go from strength to strength and would hope that everyone enjoyed the brilliant music played by our special guest DJ Keiron Woodward alongside our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton, Joan Rimmer. A huge thank you to Karen Bradshaw for doing the door and too our resident DJ's for helping pack away the equipment. Our next event will be on Saturday 10th June when we will be joined by Tony Brookes (Pemberton Masonic Soul Club / Sink Rhythm and Soul Club).     Here at the Stanley Soul Club we strive to play tunes from across the board while specializing in classic Northern Soul / Motown tracks which we feel will get your feet dancing or your toes tapping. If you have any particular tunes that you would like to hear and dance along too during the evening, then please post your favourite tunes either here or on our Facebook page where it can be seen by our host/resident DJ's and we can perhaps find that tune you want.     Stanley Soul Club Northern Soul / Motown Event - 11th February 2023. What a brilliant night at the 'Stanley Soul Club', with a big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far who came and supported our event. It was good to see our regular attendees and also to meet those who came for the first time. We hope you all enjoyed the evening and look forward to seeing you all again on April 8th for another great evening of music and dance. A big thank you to our special guest DJ Mick Smith who played a fantastic elclectic mix of classic and lesser know tunes which kept the floor moving, and too our regular DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton who played fantastic set's alongside our host DJ's which kept the floor full throughout the evening. A big thank you to Karen for helping out on the door and to Graeme and Karen for helping to pack away the equipment at the end of the evening, and also the the bar staff for keeping everyone refreshed throughout the evening.     Our New Year's Eve Event. Wow! What a brilliant turnout we had for our New Year's Eve celebrations with 100 visitors and guest DJ's joining us to bring in the New Year at the Stanley and Burscough Legion Soul Clubs event. A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us and we would hope that everyone enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Sorry to say that our other guest DJ Pete Everett had to cancel due to illness which was a shame. We wish you a speedy recovery Pete and hope to catch up again soon on the scene. A big thank you to our guest DJ Tony Mundey and resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton along with our co-host Tony Brookes and my wonderful wife Joan Rimmer for giving us a great selection of music throughout the night which kept the dancefloor rocking.     Stanley Soul Club Event - 8th October 2022 - A big thank you to everyone. Well! what a brilliant turnout for our 1st Anniversary Event at The Stanley, Burscough. We're going from strength too strenght with our humble event based around great music without any other gimmicks, and comes with a brilliant atmospheric venue. A big thank you to everyone who came from near and far too join us and who continue to support us, for another brilliant night of music and dance from both our guest DJ Pete Everett, who played a blinder, alongside our resident DJ's Graeme Bickerton and Karen Bickerton who rocked the floor with their favouriate tunes, and of course, to my wifey Joanie who played her all time Casino classics. A big thank you also to Karen Bradshaw for helping out at the door, to Glyn Hanford for helping out with the techy stuff, and to all the bar staff for keeping us refreshed. We really hope you enjoyed the evening and wish for you to pass the word around and too come and join us again. Our next bi-monthly event will be on Saturday 10th December when we'll be joined by our good friend Des Jones (Prestwich Con Club) as our guest DJ playing alongside our resident DJ's.
