    Stanley Soul Club Events Review - 12th October 2024. A big thank you too everyone who travelled from near and far who joined us for a fantastic night at our 3rd Anniversary Event. Though we had a lot of regular supporters missing due to other events and sickness, it was great to see some of our other regular loyal supporters, and some new visitors, come along and support us for a great night with a great atmosphere. With special thank you to the soulies from Lytham Cricket and Social Soul Club. A big thank to Vance Butterworth for stepping in for our guest DJ spot as Steve Wilde was poorly, (get well soon Steve), who played a brilliant spot which filled the floor, and to our resident DJ's Graeme Bickerton and Karen Bickerton for doing what they do best and for helping put away the equipment. A big thanks also to Karen Bradshaw for covering the door alongside wivey Joan. We are now working towards our Christmas event on the 14th December where we look forward to seeing our Special Guest DJ Tony Mundey (Ann Mundey) spinning his favourite tunes and hoping to see everyone again for another great night of music and dance.     Stanley Soul Club Charity All-Dayer in aid of the North West Air Ambulance Charity. We would like to give a big soulful thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to attend and support our Charity All-Dayer in aid of the NW Air Ambulance Charity at the Stanley Soul Club given the appalling weather conditions. A big thank you to all our Special Guest DJ's Thomas Allinson, Tony (Ann Mundey), Julie Val & David Burke and Resident DJ's Graeme & Karen Bickerton for making it such successful day, and to Karen Bradshaw for all her help throughout the day. Thank you all for your generosity in donating raffle prizes and for taking part in our event which raised a total of £405.00 for the charity.     Stanley Soul Club- 15th June 2024 (Review). A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for another great night of music and dancing spent with good friends. A big thank you to Vance Butterworth for playing a brilliant set of his favourite tunes which kept the dancefloor full and to our resident DJ's Graeme Bickerton and Karen Bickerton for playing their great dancefloor classics. Also, a big thank you both for helping with packing away the equipment. Our next event will be on Saturday 10th August when we will be joined by our good friend Tony Mundey (Ann Mundey) as our special guest DJ. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event.     STANLEY SOUL CLUB EVENT 13th April. What a great night spent with soul friends old and new. A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for our event. It was a brilliant to have so many new people joining us for the first time and it's always a pleasure to see our regular supporters. It was good to see old friends Liz and Roger Mahoney who we hadn't seen for so long. A big thank you to our friend and guest DJ Pete Everett who played a blinder as always and filled the dance floor with his eclectic mix of tunes. We look forward to seeing you both again soon. A big thank you to our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton for helping us set up and who started of the evening with two brilliant sets of great dance tunes which filled the dance floor and kept it rocking. Thank you both for helping us to pack away at the close. Thank you to Karen Bradshaw for helping out on the entry and for spending your time modifying our record deck cover. And finally to say a big thank you to my wife Joanie for closing the night, playing her classic oldies set which always goes down well. Needless to say that without her help and support running our events that it wouldn't be possible. Thank you everyone for your continuing support as without you it wouldn't be possible to continue. It was good to see our regular soul friends and many new visitors who travelled from near and afar too join us for the evening. Thank you everyone for your positive comments and continued support. A big thank you to our special guest DJ Rod Looker who played a brilliant eclectic mix of classic dancers which kept the dancefloor moving and to our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton for playing their favourite classic Northern Soul and Motown choons alongside with wivey Joan.     Stanley Soul Club - New Year's Eve Celebration. Well what a brilliant New Year's Eve at the Stanley Soul Club. Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for our NYE event. We really appreciate your attendance and support and hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did. A big thank you to our guest DJ's Tony Mundey and Pete Everett alongside our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton and to wife Joan who kept the floor packed throughout the night playing a brilliant eclectic mix of music. A big thank you to Karen for covering the door and to the bar staff who kept everyone refreshed throughout the night. It was really good to see a few more new visitors come along and join us and we do really appreciate your continued support for our humble Northern Soul and Motown event.     STANLEY SOUL CLUB EVENT - NOVEMBER 4th. Wow !! What a brilliant night we had with one of our highest turnouts of the year. A big thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to join us for a great night of music delivered by our Special Guest DJ's David Burke and Julie Val who played a great set and kept the for filled, playing alongside our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton who played two fantastic sets through the night with our co-host Joan Rimmer finishing the night off with a brilliant set of Casino classics. Again we saw some new faces for this one, which is testament to the fact that we going from strength to strength each month. Thank you everybody for coming and continuing to support our soul event and we look forward to seeing all again at our next Christmas event on Saturday 9th December when we'll be joined by our very good friend and guest DJ Des Jones (Ramsbottom Soul Club) who will be playing his favorite classics alongside our resident DJ's. ** We'll also have tickets available for our New Year's Eve Celebration at £7.00 each or pre-order them now by contacting either Graeme Bickerton or myself Stephen Rimmer to guarantee your ticket/s as they will go fast ** We hope you can make it but be warned you need to bring your dancing shoes.     Stanley Soul Club Event - August 12th. What a cracking night we had with a great turnout of soulies from near and far who came along and supported our soul event. Again many new faces as well as our regular supporters and we hope you enjoyed the evening. Thank you all for coming and supporting our humble event and we hope that you will return for our forthcoming events. We would like to give a big thank you to our special guest DJ Tony Mundey who played a brilliant set which kept the floor filled throughout with his favorite tunes. A big thank you also to our resident DJ's Graeme and Karen Bickerton for playing two fantastic sets of classic Northern Soul and Motown tunes with a sprinkling of lesser played tracks which set the floor alive. It was very good of you both to stay and help drop the equipment and pack it away, which I appreciate very much. A big thank you to my wife and co-host DJ Joan for all the hard work it takes to arrange and to setup, and who played two great sets of classic Wigan Casino tunes which really set the mood early doors and late evening. And finially to the birthday girl Karen Bradshaw for helping out on the door and for staying and help load up the equipment and for dropping off the records etc at home. Lot's of good positive feedback and lots of enquiries with regards our organised New Year's Eve soul event. Everything is arranged for this event and just waiting for our tickets from the printers to arrive and will be available at £7.00 each. Please feel free to pre-book tickets in advance but you must collect and pay for them before New Year's Eve as some failed to turn up last year which limited our attendance capacity.
