  1. LP only, Dave! The 'You' album from '75. Sean
  2. Yes mate, the labels are on the wrong side on mine. So.... what we have here is a 'Two known copy' - modern day Frank Wilson! Sean
  3. Sorry Malc, I posted and sent you a link to a School Reunion website, classmates.com, which has on its database one Joy Lovejoy of Chicago Illinois. I wondered if you'd signed up and contacted her to see if she might be the one that you are seeking! Acres of Diamonds ring a bell? Sean
  4. I have this Andy - it is in a pic sleeve (autographed by JJ) and is something that was only available at his gigs in the late 70's, therefore quite a rarity! Agree - "Missing You" is an OK tune that I played out a couple of times when I first got it... but haven't played in years. Sean
  5. According to her picture, Malc, she's actually grey! https://www.classmates.com/directory/public...egId=7683619124
  6. If I'd known you were on Garry I'd have bin there! The killer track on that album, for me though, is "Thinking About You". Wonderful stuff. You at Yarmuff this year? Sean
  7. No mistaking which is Billy though! Sean
  8. Alan & Georgie Sean
  9. Yeh... except that was Alan Price - not Georgie! Truth is, I always used to mix them up too! But I'm with you... Billy Stewart.... by several stone! Sean
  10. No mate, no legit UK label at the same time. Sean
  11. I have several legit Emidiscs, Dylan. It was purely an acetate process - which often fell into the wrong hands
  12. Sounds like a carver to me, Andreas! Sean
  13. As an aside, the other Al & The Maxidynes "Laugh Now Boy" (a driving stomper) also came out as Baby Al & The Capps on Silver Fox. I also have it on a Spanish label Sean
  14. Also by Johnny Adams - and purdy good to Rich Sean
  15. Looks to me like the https://raresoulman.co.uk is purely a work in progress. The web company should, perhaps, have done the development under a separate Development URL (ideally password protected) to stop confusion. Looks pretty good thus far, although I really liked the old site and with next generation stuff you've got to be careful you don't inadvertently throw the baby out with the bath water as regards brand image / look & feel. Am sure it will be a winner once its 'live'. Sean
  16. Ok... in that case, I'll just take the best sensible offer over £35 that tempts me. You could snag the bargain of the century! pm me if you fancy it. Cheers Sean
  17. It was "Mad Dog & The Pups" And it was POKE, Rich. Polk is probably Frank Polk - but he didn't sing it. Unless its just Frank - in which case thats a cover up name for Ian. Sean
  18. I have a copy up for grabs of the superb crossover rarity "Does It Really Matter" on SCR Sugar Cane. The record is in John Manships "Rarest Of The Rare". A minter sold on his auction for £408. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/auction/newli...tionItemID=2249 It's not in great condition, but its not beat either - maybe VG would be about right (vinyl is nice but has a few label marks - plays fine DJ'ing etc). I'd take the best offer over £100 that tempts me, which means you could snag a real bargain. And.... I'll throw in postage, mainland UK. Must pay by PayPal only though, cos I can never be arsed with cheques. pm me if you fancy it. Cheers Sean Hear the track here! https://www.soul-source.co.uk/rare-northern...ar-cane-records
  19. I have a spare copy of the superb "Girl I Love You" b/w "It Rained Forty Days And Nights" on Revue R-11001. It's not in great condition, but its not totally beat either - maybe g+ would be about right (plays fine DJ'ing etc). I'd take the best offer over £50 that tempts me, which means you could snag a real bargain. And.... I'll throw in postage, mainland UK. Must pay by PayPal only though, cos I can never be arsed with cheques. pm me if you fancy it. Cheers Sean
  20. Great double sider Mel. Seems like only yesterday, I used to be able to pick these all off the back shelves at my local Record Shop! And old Violet May had em all in a box behind the counter. Took me less than 2 years to get the entire set, back in the day. Wonder how long it would take now? Tremendous UK label. Sean
  21. Norman Connors Take It To The Limit Sean
  22. Stop Press on my earlier post. I've now almost completed the Eddie (Shorty) Billups collection... pretty much everything except the Peachtree. Kev Briscoe and I met him last year. When I produced the entire pack (some 15+ records) he almost bawled out loud. Said he'd never seen most of 'em. I asked him about all the various label releases, but he was vague... 'it was a very long time ago'. He confirmed that He (Shorty) and Eddie are the same person - but that he also had a brother called Eddie. He used the name 'Eddie' on some of the releases to give his brothers singing career a boost. A very strange encounter - but a great entertainer, he had us in stitches. Can still sing a bit too! After all these years, 'Shake Off That Dream' is still one of my all time faves. Sean
  23. Very Kinda Cool! A Masterpiece. Great news for a lot of people who missed it. Sean
