  1. Have been following this story for a few months. Ever since she cancelled her gig in New York in August this year, that Tats and I were supposed to be attending. Let's say a little prayer that she comes through, and long live the Queen. Sean
  2. Earlier discussion on this, here, Joe. Sean
  3. Its on an Australian Coral EP. Other than that, I don't think it appeared anywhere else (except on the H+H LP). Sean
  4. I guess nobody wants to part with the little Beauty mate. Sean
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdcoT0hNHQQ A long overdue recognition for a truly great singer. Tremendous stuff. Sean
  6. Thanks a bunch for the feedback. It was a pleasure being able to share some of our favourite Just Soul tracks with you. Further Just Soul 'specials' are being scheduled for 2011 on Solar Radio's 'Soul People' so we'll keep you posted on those. Anyone who missed it, the download links are available here, via Zane (thanks Zane) Full Show The Entire Two Hour Show Part 1 First Hour Only Part 2 Second Hour Only Hope they work for you! Thanks again. Enjoy, Sean
  7. Yep, Betty Willis and Virginia Blakely are LA. Neither to be confused with the Fabulous UK Polydor distributed Mojo label :0) Sean
  8. Following the success of Just Soul 4... ...Just Soul comes to the airwaves this coming weekend... Sunday 21st Nov (10am-Midday) - a two hour 'Just Soul' special with Tats Taylor and Sean Hampsey on Solar Radio. Solar Radio can be found on www.solarradio.com OR you can get it on Sky Channel 0129 (why not Sky+ it and listen later!) OR you can check the link www.soulmusic.co.uk/Radio.htm later in the week to download the whole show (courtesy of Zane Hunter). So, if you're already part of the Just Soul fraternity, or just want to know what all the fuss is about, please join myself and Tats on Solar Radio's 'Soul People' (or listen later) next Sunday morning. We're looking forward to sharing a couple of hours of 'Just Soul' music with you! Sean
  9. Good choice Dylan. One of my all time favourites. Wouldn't part with my copy for a golden chopper! Sean
  10. I've had one mono and two Stereo's, but was always told the Stereo was the hardest of the two. Sean
  11. Ahaha, to be honest, I thought about buying it just to prevent it from getting played! ;0) Sean
  12. Hi Keith, interesting that. Back around 1970 a mad keen Temptations fan in my village (not the ooonly Temptations fan in the village mind ) told me that he was finding it impossible to get hold of `The Temptations Sing Smokey` and "Temptin' Temptations" albums. I guess if they were tough 40 years ago they're gonna be really tough now. No idea how many were pressed. Sean
  13. Top drawer deepie on the flip. Simply stunning! Sean
  14. Good stuff Eddie, you'd be just the man for the job! I'd be glad to help (Clifton, Cleethorpes, Warrington, Bradford, Pitches etc.). Top man! Sean
  15. Cashman, Pistilli and West were indeed the Shakers, of 'One Wonderful Moment' fame. Sean
  16. Love Magic also on 45, incidentally. Clifton Hall classic. :o) Sean
  17. Love Magic also on 45, incidentally. Clifton Hall classic. :o) Sean
  18. Good question Gareth. I've always loved this song (by Geater) and was blown away when I first got the Chuck Armstrong version. I have it on the 'Testifiyin' Charly LP and I think (without hunting for it) it was believed to be unreleased at the time of issue. Pretty sure there's no 45. Sean
  19. Its........... xoversoul@ntlworld.com Sean
  20. Paul Capon has a copy here! https://www.musicstack.com/item/75271877 Good luck! Sean
