I agree, this is a high quality releases indeed. I one heard that only 200 mono and 200 stereo were pressed.
I've had one mono and two Stereo's, but was always told the Stereo was the hardest of the two.

Ahaha, to be honest, I thought about buying it just to prevent it from getting played! ;0)

Does anyone have any facts about which Tamla Motown LP was pressed in the least numbers, excluding the Martin Luther King release. My reason for asking is that after a discussion with a long standing dealer, we both agreed that `The Temptations Sing Smokey` TML11016 is rarely seen for sale for example.
Hi Keith, interesting that.
Back around 1970 a mad keen Temptations fan in my village (not the ooonly Temptations fan in the village mind ) told me that he was finding it impossible to get hold of `The Temptations Sing Smokey` and "Temptin' Temptations" albums.
I guess if they were tough 40 years ago they're gonna be really tough now.
No idea how many were pressed.

I've decided to write a book on the 80's / 90's Rare Soul scene , the clubs big and small , the influential characters , who discovered the records , cover ups , drugs ,New 60's/ 70's discoveries , new and recent releases of the time , crossover Soul , and want it to be a tribute to the largely unsung Heroes who kept the Rare Soul flame burning after Wigan closed etc .I want to interview all the major players on the scene , record dealers ,DJ's , characters , so any information ,stories , flyers etc would be very welcome . I'm going to write the book in 5 year blocks , so the first section will be 1981 - 1986 and cover Maxims Wigan , Clifton Hall Rotherham , Rebels Sheffield , Stafford , 100 Club , Morecombe, Yate [ 2nd time around ] and the clubs North of the border , plus any I've forgotten or unaware of . As someone who's never left the scene since joining it in 1972 , I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this project .Don't know how long it will take , but want to do the subject justice and get it right . Many thanks for any help ....Eddie
Good stuff Eddie, you'd be just the man for the job!
I'd be glad to help (Clifton, Cleethorpes, Warrington, Bradford, Pitches etc.).
Top man!

Cashman, Pistilli and West were indeed the Shakers, of 'One Wonderful Moment' fame.

Good question Gareth.
I've always loved this song (by Geater) and was blown away when I first got the Chuck Armstrong version.
I have it on the 'Testifiyin' Charly LP and I think (without hunting for it) it was believed to be unreleased at the time of issue.
Pretty sure there's no 45.

Hi,
The actual title is "You Live Only Once".
Might help you when looking for a copy online.

Hi Blake, JB put this on tape for me 30 odd years ago, so I quickly snared a UK copy at the time. I played it on Mick O'Donnels Soul Discovery a couple of years ago and have found a lot of interest in it since. Certainly came out on US Paramount mate.
Lovely stuff.

Yep - Boot!
Selectadisc, if my memory serves me right.

Same here, John.
It's a bit contrived and the lyrics are dreadful.
If it was easily available nobody would give it any attention, that's what I reckon.
Paul
Agree Paul.
Trite Disco Fodder.
Lyrics are an absolute joke.
And nothing to do with Soul Music.

I've sold two copies this year, the last was just a few weeks ago - a mint UK promo for £40.00
A fair price I think, especially for eBay.
Paul
...having said that, I often make the (costly) mistake of assuming a record isn't rare just because I've had a few copies over the years.
I saw it Paul and nearly bid on it, but had only recently picked up the issue.
Its a 50+ quidder of anybody's money, these days.

I won a UK Demo on eBay last year for 0:99p.
Sent the guy his money, but the record got 'lost in the post'
Ended up having to pay £20 for an issue
But still a bargain I reckon!
Steve's right.
A hard UK London 45 on red or black!

Neither of those are TALL condensend font settings, mate.
Here's a 579 that is a good example - Its also unusual in that its the 'older' condensed font, but has solid centre.
Sean
PS: KT = Kentish Town (Pressing Plant) with no subliminal message that I'm aware of.
