I also have the complete label.
Great thread here on the subject from a few years ago, back when I was a couple short to complete the set, and was helped by a few kind Soul Sourcers (Pete Smith being one).

Sorry to sound picky chaps, but even Richard Searling himself would admit.... this was a Hampsey 'Niter' tune at Clifon, Cleggy and everywhere else (and everyone else ) thereafter!
Not that it really matters LOL.
Still sounds alreet don't it!
Sean
Hi Kev,
You're absolutely right, but it was never off catalogue to my knowledge, so more a second press than a 2nd or later issue.
In answer to the original question, it was never booted.
Sean
US Dynamo 114 Nev.
As Kev says, was on catalogue and available from all decent Record shops until the early-mid 70's on UK Direction (I sold loads of em at the time).
One of my early introductions to the music and still one of the greatest shit kickin' rave ups ever on vinyl!
Sean
Has a nice flipside too, cover of Eddie Floyd 'I've Never Found a Girl'.
I have the yellow Demo too Pete (had it for 30 odd years).
An issue, apparently, went for £300 recently... so 55 squid is a real bargain.
Sean
I've got the 'Someone Will take Over' side for over 20 years.
It plays an ok cover of Otis Clay's INCREDIBLE 'That's How It Is'.
I've always understood it to have been mislabelled.
Sean
Brilliant, thanks Chalks.
It was the scratched Matrix that made me question it, but now I see, its proper.
What's funny is I even contributed to the old thread saying Rogers was just like mine...
...and it is!
Senilty?
Probably.
Thanks mate.
Sean
I'm aware of the RED Boot, but was this ever booted on a White Label double sided Promo?
Had a copy since I was a lad. Looks right enough, but just wondered?
Sean
Same at Just Soul, Mark.
Folk arrive early doors to hear the Deep and Soulful stuff for the first couple of hours.
It works well with the Just Soul crowd, because they appreciate quality soul, regardless of tempo.
Sean
Certainly was mate.
Best playlist on the planet back then!
Doobie Brothers 'Long Train Runnin' was a Monster!
And Dave Growns was a God.
:0)
Did you go?
Sean
Flipside of 'Our Favourite Melody' Rich, but only on the issues (demos are double sided).
It's also on the 'Forever' LP which I used to play it from, before I realised it was on a 45 :0)
Cheers,
Sean
ELO 'Showdown' is one of my favourite all time 'Soulful - Non Soul' records.
In fact it was a pretty big tune at my fave Club in Rotherham, back in 73, played alongside the likes of Johnnie Taylor 'Who's Making Love' Jimmy James 'A Man Like Me' Blue Magic "Look Me Up" and Dean Parrish "I'm On My Way" etc.
An eclectic and superb mix... and ELO fitted right into the groove!
