  1. Couple of pics of me and Tats at Fame and Muscle Shoals Sound, Jackson Highway, a few years ago. Shot dozens of photographs and an hour or two of video there. Just the coolest place on earth. Sean
  2. Cody Marshall is a white guy. His real name is Joe McGovern (he wrote a couple of things with Jimmy 'Wiz' Wisner). He was a pro Basketball player in the 60's (Penn State) before turning to music. He had a very active career as a writer and performer, with his group 'Circle of Friends' and appeared often in New York, Pennsylvania The Flamingo - Las Vegas and Florida throughout the 70's. I've got his other release on the label 'Peaceful / Monday's Gone'. Well remember Richard covering up his 'Sound Judgment' 45 - a version of 'The Thought Of Loving You' as 'Pierre Hunt'. At the same time (late 70's) I used to play the Crystal Mansion version of the song (feat Johnny Caswell) which I thought was 'better' (but in truth, neither are brilliant ). 'Yours Until Tomorrow' was recorded in 1972 on the flip of 'Needle In A Haystack' which McGovern composed. Don't know how rare this 45 in question is, but I guess its quite scarce. it won't have sold many although it was promoted in Billboard at the time of release (Nov '72). Give yer a tenner for it. Sean
  3. This is a rare record, in its original format on Blue Candle. I have two copies. Took me a very long time to obtain. Both have labels printed correctly. It's one of those 45's that are very scarce, but there's no huge demand for it, as its under the radar, so that's where it remains. Not a 'trophy' record - but a proper 'collectors' item and a top drawer little record to boot! Some day honey... :0) Sean
  4. Rest In Peace George. For me the world is a better place because you were in it. Sean
  5. Nice thought Steve. Hope to see you there in a couple of months! :0)
  6. I used to play it off an issue in the late 70's. Found for 10p in a shop on the Whicker in Sheffield. Wonder if JV had found his in the same haunt? I'll ask him.
  7. This was long before the PK dodgy ones Ted. 2000. A genuine steal, I'd have said... And probably the NS bargain of the 21st Century, thus far! Sean
  8. 2000 Steve. I'd been in the guy's store a couple of years earlier (in Baltimore) so knew he had a lot of old originals. When he put a bunch of Buy It Now's up for 12 bucks and listed 'I Have Searched' (the flipside). I hit the BIN button like lightening. Sent him the $12 (cash - Pre-Paypal days) and crossed my fingers until it arrived two weeks later... Not Pink, Not Yellow, Stone, Store Stock, Mint Original. Now only played twice lol Sean
  9. Robby Lawson - Burning Sensation - Kyser - MINT / UNPLAYED Ebay Buy It Now $12.00 Sean

  11. Remember Eric really well Peter. Danced all night he did, and a top boy. Don't recall the girl though. And haven't forgotten your pressie ;0) Cheers buddy, Sean
  12. Thanks Chalky. And thanks everyone for all your comments. Like many of you, I too bought 'Caught Up' back in '74 - and it was a life changing acquisition. Soul fans owe Millie Jackson (and those behind the album and its sequel) a real debt of gratitude. Showcasing her finest, most Soulful, ballads for the 'Moods' project was no easy task, but it has certainly been a privilege. Hot off the press, the first package dropped through the mailbox this morning and it truly is a thing of great beauty - and that's even before it slides into the deck! Ace / Kent have done a magnificent job with the graphics, editing and overall appearance of the package, doing great justice to the incredible music within. Birthday presents solved, for everyone I buy for, for the forseeable future. It's out, in store and online, from this coming Monday - 25th March 2012. I hope you will enjoy it. Cheers and thanks again. Sean
  13. Been playing this at Just Soul, Soul Essence etc. for over a year! The 45 has been around for at least 12 months. But agree with you Gav, a nice record. Sean
  14. Evening Soul Mates. Yep, reckon we should all raise a glass or two to one of the true GREATS of our music! Sean
  15. Yes - I have an Orange Issue copy. It's Australian. Classic Simon & Garfunkel song. Sean
  16. Did I sell you a copy of 'Laugh Now Boy' Simon? Pretty sure I still have an issue, and a WLP and a Spanish Exit copy with P/C. Is that what Greety is asking about or is he asking for 'Lonely Days' which I thought only came out on Shell. Sean
  17. Yes - Richard Searling had an alt version.... I seem to recall. Sean
