  5. Just can't fault your taste! A Stunning deepie. Priceless I reckon! I only have it on the"Texas" LP. Would dearly love a 45. Sean
  6. I was out with one of my '40 something' Sales Reps, a few months ago, and he had the Wellers "Studio 150" album on in the Motor. I couldn't believe the tracklisting. "If I Could Only Be Sure" "The Bottle" "Hercules" "Dont Make Promises" and others. He was all in a lather abour the 'Soulfulness' of Wellers 'Performance' ... so I did the poor lad a favour with a CD of the original versions - by NF Porter, Gil Scott Heron, Aaron Neville, ZZ Hill etc. He hasn't looked back since. I guess if artists such as PW want to 'pay tribute' to Soul Music by covering Soul classics, then it can sometimes open doors to 'the real deal' for many music lovers. It's just such a p**sser when the inferior cover gets the plaudits (...and the green). Were the Jam poor?... I don't think so... Probably made a bl**dy fortune! Sean
  7. Please yourself Martin, but if you do I'll post up the picture I found of CUNNIE Sean
  8. So, she's definately NOT a Golf pro in Florida nowadays then John? Confirmed then: The pictures of the Judy Street at the top of this page are of Golf Pro Judy Street... not the singer of the Strider 45 "What" So what about my Bobby Womack Pic?. Is that not him either? Sean
  9. A real grueller this one, I'm afraid... Fighting it out for the Guys.... Lou Courtney "I'm In Need Of Love" Bobby Womack "Lookin For A Love Again" And a Catfight for the ladies....... Sandra Wright "Wounded Woman" Millie Jackson "Caught Up" Vols 1 & 2 They've been fighting it out for years, in my head, and I still can't decide on a clear winner! Worse still, there are dozens of other strong contenders. Sean Hampsey
  10. A few Pictures I got from the internet... of some of my heroes.... to follow! Kicking off with Bobby Womack And...... Bill Brandon (below Bobby) And the Incredible.......... James Carr And last of all.... Jerry Butler!
  11. Judy Street The Golfer - Pictured in B&W in the Sixties! Judy Street The Golfer - Pictured In Colour in the 21st Century! Sure, She's changed... but It's not the same person as the Judy Street of "What" fame! Sean Hampsey
  12. Your pictures appear to be of Judy Street the Golfer! The attached is Judy street of "What" fame. I dont think they are one and the same! Image originally posted on here two years ago by Mick Smith Sean
  13. Wow! Don't you just love it when that happens! Barry, you did good... and I'm sure.. you wont be dissapointed. Please keep me posted. Sean

  15. Big Thumbs Up From Me On That! Raved about it on here before and played it out often over the years! Love (almost) all of Deon's work but "When Your love Is Gone" is just sublime! Sean
  16. Bit worried about the last sentance, Steve. Was that when you stayed the night? Sean
  17. Hi Simon, I have both a US !2" and a UK 7" of "Just The Way You Like It". I often played the 45 around the time that "Mighty Body" was being played (also have a US 45 of that one - but much prefer JTWILI). Sean Hampsey
  18. As so many new spins eventually feed into the 'Oldies' circuit, I suppose another question would be... Are 'Modern' Fans Living In The Future? Sean
  19. Ann Sexton "You've Been Gone Too Long" Great Lyrics - Great Vocals - Northern AND Delightfully Southern - Quite Rare - But Attainable! Loved and admired by all (isn't it?) Sean
