  1. Bought this as a new release and its never been out of my top 20! Incredible Double Sider, John. Sean
  2. Often used to 'Log' titles when performing in public. Many venues used to insist on it in the early 70's. Does seem to have fallen by the wayside though these days i agree. Has "Logging" been replaced by a General Performing License? Anyone?
  3. The text you can read above when you are composing in the editor screen is what you are seen to be replying to. Stick with it Pete. You'll get the hang of it. Sean
  4. Yes. A more appropriate smiley than mine. Well done Bogue! Sean
  5. Yes me too Steve.... in a fashion. Very confusing Perhaps its a kind of Sado Masochist thang! Sean
  6. Certainly one of the finest Soul records......... Ever! Sean
  7. Thanks Ray. I've got the Dell Vikings (its an early/mid 70's - v late Fee Bee issue isnt it). Is it getting played out? Wow! Agree wholeheartedly on the "That's What You Say" Gloria Scott. Always rated this as one of the top tracks on the album. Top Suggestions. Sean

  9. His best by far (IMO). His other stuff sounds so anaemic in comparison. Sean
  10. Awesome Label, Loma. Somebody please post The Enchanters "You Were Meant To Be My Baby" for us! So Much Better than Ben Aiken's later version! Sean
  11. Hi Malc you auld bugger! Won't be needing the old Borat Thong this year mate. The Timanfaya Palace has a Nuddy Beach. Izz nice! I like! See you on my return! (I'll be the one with the hankie on me 'ead and sporting the sun kissed Buttocks!) Sean
  12. Rod Dearlove did a pretty comprehensive listing (for the time) about 25 years ago. I've got a copy (somewhere in the archives) but he might be well worth contacting. Tel:(01964) 631457 Fax:(01964) 631458 https://www.soul45.com/contact.htm Good luck! Sean
  13. Flip side of this 45 "Gotta Find A Way" also a superb deepie! Sean
  14. Hi John & all! On the LP front check the STUNNING Sam Dees penned deepie "Lonely Enough To Try Anything". Mindblowing stuff! Of the Barry 45's... nobody mentioned "Second Chance" Barry 1024 (flip of Mr Fixit) which is up there with the very best from Barbara Lynn... just absolutely fickin' SUPERB! Sean
  15. Top Man Richard... now all I gotta do now is find me one! Cheers Sean
  16. Hi Pete, I'm aware of this and I'm 90% sure there were 2 releases on the label (for the life of me I can't recall the other). I thought they were done by Global at the same time as the 'Cream' issues (James Fountain / Eddie Carlton ) using the same pressing plant etc. Remember, they also did two "Swan" lookalike label releases with the Jay Walkers and The Guys From Uncle! Check the "All Right Of The Manufacturer" detail on the rim. Same text and typography etc. as the Cream and the Swan UK releases. All the best Sean
  17. Always loved ISGYMB .. lovely midtemp track that also came out over here on MGM. Another worth a mention and a few spins is the superb "I'm Leaving" on RCA. Very Sam Cooke influenced, great lyrics, just another Johnny Nash winner! Sean
  18. DJ'd at the 'Hospital Hall' in renishaw, Steve, back in '74. I swear.. everybody looked like they were related. A wierd and memorable night. Won't be going tot the next un as I'm off to Lanzarote on Wednesday for me big 5 0... but I'm on at Soul Intent in a couple of months so t'would be good if you could make it to that little Hoe Down... pardner! Sean
  19. That would be great Richard. Curiously, there seemsto be more DEMO's out there and I've never had / seen an issue. Sean
  20. That's right. Have seen Dutch issues... but not UK issues (UK Demo's only). Will do a Master list of all suggestions so far, this weekend. Keep 'em coming! Sean
