A couple of nice and soulful midtempo things that could certainly use a little more action! First up, Inell Young's 'Ive Never Considered' a lovely slice of New Orleans followed by a gorgeous Impressions sounding Chicago group sound from the Dontells! Sean

Spot on Nev. And definitely in the spirit of the thread. As we state at the outset 'It could be an LP track that, for whatever reason, has never been given the recognition it deserves. It might be a tasty 'B' side that, given the right exposure, might just have what it takes to become a monster! And more in recent times, I think we could add 'it could be a recent release that's been laying dormant for decades or something recently recorded that simply has the right 'sound'. Excellent stuff. Well, after a bumpy start, I think we're getting somewhere! Hi Steve, Agree, that's a pretty good record matey. But if you think I'm buying all this lot you've another thing coming ....And if I was interested for my own benefit I'd have asked for people to pm me their suggestions. As a matter of fact (for a number of reasons) I've pretty much given up both DeeJaying and collecting. Got a couple of dates to fulfill in the diary and then I'm offski! This is just a bit of fun I started 7 years ago which has became a bit of an annual tradition. We'll see if the thread can keep running with a few more suggestions (without anyone trying to pull the wheels off it) and then (if I get a mo) I'll put em all in a list and see how many it amounts to. Agree Chalks. Its always surprised me what people put forward as tips for the future, when clearly they've been and gone in other parts of the country, or on other parts of the 'scene'. I guess that's down to both the diversity in music and the various strands in the UK and beyond. We don't all know it all these days... at least not at the same time :0) Picking up on Steve G's point again, is it felt that the Modern & Crossover scenes can often be a breaking ground for the wider 'Northern' scene? Tell you what though, a bit quiet in here tonight. SS Members normally have no problem making recommendations. Here's my recent tip anyhow.
