  4. I'm sitting here looking at 'em Rupert. You'll have it before the weekend. Promise!
  5. Just a thought! Has Cheryl Berdell ever appeared on a comp CD? How about a Clifton Classics... anyone?
  6. Yeh - Remember her being on the cover Steve. But I'd certainly have thought that all those productions with Levine would have had an effect on the 'sound' that Leake engineered. Either way, its a top little tune. The old 'Esther Williams' cover up if my memory serves me right! Sean
  7. No... I'm pretty crap at such technology... but there's a short clip here - which really doesn't do it justice - but you'll get the drift https://www.amazon.com/Savoir-Faire-Sandra-Feva/dp/B000001RQ8 And it's in the Box for Lifeline!
  8. As a footnote... ... if you really dig this tune... you really should check out Sandra Feva's "Just To Be Close To You" on Venture. I covered it as Cheryl Berdell yonks ago cos it's a bit of a ringer and every bit as good! A TOP TIP (IMO). On both 45 & the superb Savoir Faire LP.
  9. It's Danny Leake from Chicago. Ian Levines old mate. Ex 100% Pure Poison! He produced LJ Johnson "Your Magic's Put A Spell On Me" back in the 70's and all those great James Wells & Barbara Pennington things! Guess that kinda makes Cheryl Berdell a Tailor Made... if only by influence rather than intent!
  10. Al Johnson & The Hitmen, Peter. Was BIG at Clifton for Richard and I bagged me a copy. Took it to N-U-L Tiffs thinkin' I'd got the Holy Grail so, following Dave Evison, kicked my spot off with it. Must have been 200 people on the dancefloor... until I came on! Story of my life mate!
  11. Agree Mark.... but cleared the floor for me at Newcastle Tiffs, early 80's. T'was MASSIVE at Clifton Hall while still covered up... but it hadn't yet reached the Midlands. Still not got over it! Didn't think it would take 28 years though to get popular!
  12. Also by The Beas on UK Pama... with a great flip "Where Do I Go" incidentally!
  13. "Soul Within Reach" was the cheapie tracks CD. T'was my offering towards the previous swap on here. All accesible choons... unless you don't have the tracklist - which I'll pm to you... if i can find it! Wise choice... C & The Shells V The Bully Dead leg. Think I'd rather buy a Winehouse CD than receive one of those!
  14. Yeh... the Bull can really pull a good CD together. Me and Tats just don't know where he gets his inspiration from
  15. A Dollar well spent then! Thanks for all the info. Sean
  16. That's it John, It's on 60s (greeny/blue) torquoise coloured label and made in styrene - Maureen out of Detroit. ZTSC - Detroit, early Ben E King kinda thing! Pretty scarce I'd have said.
  17. How well known is this? What's its value? Anyone?
  18. Fabulous tune Kev. Mr Manship has one on his site complete with 78 seconds Sound file. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/LOVE_COMMITTE...ist-browse/78/1 If ever a 45 warranted a revival this is it! Sean
  19. 'Good Guys Don't Always' and 'Full Time Groovers' Hotlanta Soul 1 & 2 on Kent. And the Dave Godin series, also on Kent... .... apart from my own they're the most awesome comps (for the Motor) on the planet (IMO) Sean
  20. It's what the BLUE Salvadors Boots are made of.
  21. Wasn't it Blackpool, Steve? Great little article either way.
