  1. Me and Kev Briscoe are going. It's in some Village Hall west of Peterborough. A Little Village called CASTOR. Post code PE5 7AX 8:00pm £17:00 on the door. See you there! Sean
  2. I'll kick off with two more Dramatics 45's... "The Devil Is Dope" and "Whatcha See Is Whatcha' Get". Both heavy, dark and 'edgy'... ...and both obtainable for under a fiver! Try Dionne Warwick too on "Move Me No Mountains" WB 45 for a surprisingly 'dark' production. Adams Apples "Don't Take It Out On This World" on Brunswick should also hit the spot if you like 'em heavy, mean and moody. If you are happy to go downtempo... try The Valentino's "Death Of Love"... which scared me to death first time I heard it... and Otis Clay's "That's How It Is".... its proper 'heavy' Soul. But if you really want 'disturbingly' heavy Soul, try Caroline Sullivan's 'Dead' on Phillips. Serious as a heart attack! Most of the above should carry a Govt Health warning. So you take care now. Sean
  3. Totally agree, Tony. Magnificent track. Then again, I love so much about the late Willie Hutch. One of the great Singer, Songwriters, responsible for dozens of fabulous tracks as artist and composer.
  4. Only one 'Dream Girl' on there for me, Pete. Ms Smith. Love of my life, mate! .........She's not your sister is she?
  5. https://www.algoriddim.com/_art/labels.php?label=Action https://www.algoriddim.com/_art/release.php?m_rel_id=T10467 Has this guy got one? I had 'almost' a complete Action collection years ago. Don't think this was one of em though!
  6. Nah Mel, Pink 'Monarch' Pressing was first! Wouldn't catch the guy that did 'em pressing up something that had already been done. Yellow was later... and done 'elsewhere'.
  7. Poke Cleethorpes record, Simon... 26 years ago. And then Sam and the rest of us. Was Massive at the time.... probably THE Top Tune... for about 3 weeks! Blows me away that some are only just discovering it. A nice oldie.
  8. You know I have Steve! Wanna buy it?
  9. The yellow ones were Booted some time after the Pink ones (a few years). They'll be somewhat 'rarer' than the 'Pink' pressings which sold in their thousands. Nevertheless... it's a late 70's or early 80's boot.
  10. Why thank you Patrick! You are a Man of Great taste! Glad you feel it was worth the wait. Yes - Ryan Shaw is summin else innit! Been enjoying this one for many months now and just don't tire of hearing it. I pray it will become a classic. Sean
  11. Yes... it was... ...but I has lost all me Hair since then.
  12. You're a Man of great taste, Steve. Did you get one yet? Sean
  13. Recommended this to Cliff Steele at this weekend's Lifeline. He snapped the guys hand off for it after about 10 seconds play! Course, Cliff is a man of excellent taste. And this is one very tasty record. Sean
  14. Everyone should have mine by Tuesday (first lot went on Friday), but apologies for being late on this, yet again. I've only had chance to listen to 3-4 so far, most are unopened so I don't know yet who's sent them and who hasn't! The ones I have listened to though are excellent... so thanks all, for not being as big a slack arse as me! Sean
  15. The Bull was flooding Lifeline with copies of his latest CD comp last night! And in the wee hours of this morning he wouldn't get out of the car until I'd listened to every track. If you don't already have it, you've a treat in store! Quality!
  16. Funniest thing I've read on here for ages, Peter. Even had to explain to the Mrs and the kids why I was in stitches! Personally, I've always found Mr Chandler to be the perfect Gentleman.
  17. Also includes recent Monster "Anyone Can Tell". Awesome LP! Sean
  18. Yes it is THE ex Impression himself! He's doing "Main Squeeze", "Get In Touch With Me' and "This Time With Feeling" on Antiques Roadshow tomorrow night!
  19. She did indeed have two out. I'll take the one on the right!
  20. Right Mike, Love Larry and Jaibi on their own... but this coupling is not what it should or could have been by a long way. Seen at ridiculous prices too, over the years. Sean
  21. Agree Sebastian, There should definately have been more!
  22. But his finest hour (IMO) has got to be his US Brown Dog / UK Mint 45 "We're Gonna Make It". Sean
  23. Know nothing about it - but it certainly sounds like Evie. Doesn't sound like a 'put up' job to me. Backing sounds crisp (Does Doris version have the brief drumroll at the intro?) The Background vocals seem different to the Doris cut too! Unreleased CP recording? Where did you get it Pete? Not on a disc I presume?
