  1. Chin Fantile ~ to 'spit out ones dummy' over musical differences. Chin-Plode ~ to totally 'lose it' - when DJ'ing to an empty dancefloor. Chin-Tegrity ~ to admit that you actually purchased Bootlegs - as a teenager! Chin Quiry ~ to ask about the Delta Matrix details on a particular record. Chin Cest~ to share your records with a family member.
  2. Wicked Comp that Eddie. Always loved it. Also features the wonderful "Maybe" (Roulette mix) by the 3 Degrees! Sean
  3. Agree - AWESOME compilations. Every track a winner! Sean
  4. Which bit would you be 'ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED' with? The fact that he was a 'Musical Genius' or the fact that he was successful enough (at being a Musical Genius) to get into the charts with his material? Sean
  5. A whole new world in collecting, Rob. It's the future! Rumours abound that Martin Barnfather is even thinking of changing his name to Soul Spam! Sean
  6. Hi Fingers. A couple of people contacted me and thought this was a wind up, but, its totally kosha! About a year ago, Pete Smith suggested some pretty good names for cover ups could be found by checking your SPAM. So, lo & behold, I checked mine and found Larry Santos (whoever he is - ie if he's a real person in SPAMSVILLE) had spammed me. I kept an eye out for anything else, remotely Soul related, ever since - hence the mis spelt Earl Randle, which I thought was near enough for inclusion - and that's the collection thus far. Sadly, I don't have a Little Richard... but I am expecting a Freddie Chavez anytime soon!
  7. Wicked Tune that Sean. Anybody likin' decent 'SOULFUL' Modern Soul should go for it. A quality (and quite rare) real bargain! Sean
  8. No... the more I think about it... I'm really lovin it!. Just imagine the PURE QUALITY you'd get from that! Might be a bit of duplication too... but QUALITY, no doubt! Really Lovin that idea. Sean
  9. I thought members might like to see my small, but beautifully formed, collection of Soul Spam. I've only been collecting for a little over a year, but I think you'll agree, the collection already boasts some pretty impressive titles/artists, culminating in the 'Holy Grail' an Andrea Henry, which arrived this week! I check my mailbox every day, waiting for those elusive wants to come through (hey... don't we all!). Mostly I'm dissapointed, but the 'Andrea' made the waiting all worthwhile! Anybody else got a 'virtual' collection as impressive as mine? Sean Note: Every one is 100% Genuine. No Counterfeits!
  10. Action was my foremost collected label right until the early / mid 80's when I partially 'sold up' (kept some of the harder ones). I was only short of 1 or 2 releases across all LP's and 45's. What a fantastic catalogue of material. Seriously soulful stuff from Bobby Bland to Bobby Patterson! Just Bloody Lovely. Sean
  11. Awwwwww its just a great, great record! Happy days and Fond Memories. Would LOVE to hear it played out (as an OLDIE). Bazza Rocks! Sean
  12. As good as confirmed then Tony! Sean PS: Just watch SunnySoul come up with a copy now we've painted ourselves into a corner! And, no, I didn't sleep... just thinking about the possibility! How sad is that?
  13. I leave all that stuff to them that does it best, mate... ...But, while the little berger's screaming the place down, I do tend to get a bit of post bedtime surfing in! Sean
  14. Better get in early then (this time)! I'm In.... ....you Beauty! Sean
  15. Sorry, should have said I'd be very surprised... but it just ocurred to me that I've a couple of things that came out on UK CBS & UK Direction (Peaches & Herb etc.) but I'm pretty sure Donnie Elbert isn't one of 'em! Please check if you get a mo. Got me very intrigued. Probably won't sleep tonight now! Sean
  16. Correct.... UK CBS & UK Epic... but Jon is right, UK RCA also. RCA 2271 B/W "Time Hangs On My Mind" Flipside of the CBS and Epic issues is a cover of "Get Ready" Sean
  17. Its a lovely record, Pat. My copy is quite worn, otherwise I'd certainly have played it more over the years. Never been able to replace it with a good condition copy, so yes, it is a tough one! A very underrated voice, Jay Wiggins. Sean
  18. Yeh - me too, if I'm honest. And I adore The Womack. Bet you bought yours from Boylans, same as me Roger! Sean
  19. Yes, that's true, the Gold / Black type ones with 'Performers' Instrumental on the flip, Roger. Bootiful! Simply Bootiful! Bestest Sean
