  1. Lets face it Bull. Your Postie don't come up my side of Town.... and my Postie 'daren't' go up yours! Perhaps we should exchange contributions - midway - at the weekend! Sean PS: Unless its full of Tats' old cast offs in which case, mine's in the post!
  2. I didn't wanna say that... but yeh! Honest - I only got one! John Reed's awesome contribution. Now if I only get that one I'll be a happy little Hampsey (such is the qualiteeeeeeeeeee)... but I only got the one! Sean PS: John - Jeter is Mine! You beat me to it ya berger! Tremendous stuff!
  3. Wow! I've only received one so far. Guess that's what you get for living out in the sticks! Sean
  4. Adam, Mike, I love you guys... but you gotta know when to Quit! Anyone who buys Hucknall over the real deal by Bobby Bland (which is still readily available)... ...probably deserves it! After all... It's only Rock N' Roll! Sean
  5. It has a gorgeous Deep Flip - hence quite indemand! Sean
  6. Thanks Bull. I take all Major Credit Cards (and of course, Pound Notes). Tats, on the other hand, collects Food stamps. Honestly, I blush at the thought mate! You can't give someone good ears. They've either got 'em or they haven't! And yours are just BIGGER than most! Sean
  7. I have a Bell Demo, Steve. Yes - a goodly choon! Sean
  8. Here me now... and listen up! Alan has just informed me that my postcode has gone to you good people incorrectly. It's S40 4DL Wouldn't want to miss out on any of these fine compilations, because of a leedle typo! Please make sure you add the letter 'L' to the code. Cheers all (and thanks again Alan). Sean
  9. The original 'untampered' version is now available on Kent CD "Soul For The Dancefloor" (as per my Avatar) alongside 21 other simply magnificent Millie J Recordings! Buy it now. You know it makes sense! Sean https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soul-Dancefloor-Mi...5736&sr=8-1
  10. Is the latest LP not good Tony? I quite fancied it. RSVP
  11. Agree absolutely. Betty Everett is a 'Pitches' classic - was massive mid 90's. Came across a boxful of Liz Damons in Baltimore around the same time for $1.00 each... and left 'em. Wouldn't give it House room myself! Do yourself a favour and get Betty's "There'll Come a Time" LP for the superior version. Sean
  12. I was only 16 Mark, but it came from my weekly visit to Rotherham market, like most of my tunes of the time... for pennies! You're right, there was tons of King stuff on there, along with Federal, Stax, Volt, Tamla, Smash, Mecury, ABC etc. by the score! "Bing Bong" was a real cutie, I thought, and it soon went to the top of the pile! Sean
  13. Gary was probably the first to play it at an Allnighter in the UK but I played it regularly at my local Club at least 7 years before then, Mark (1972). Always a fave of mine as a lad! Mentioned it before on here that I remember uncovering it at Lincoln Drill Hall around 79, when someone (probably Gary R?) had it covered up as, I think, The Ambassadors. Couldn't believe my ears when it came on. Still got a Big Soft Spot fot it! Sean
  14. Bull, Go Fukc Yourself! Of course... I'm Jus' Kiddin' Mate too! Sean
  15. Hi Bull, Although the title of the swap is "Records You Would Never Part With" I read that to mean "Records You Could Not Live Without!" I realise that there's only a slight difference in emphasis, but I'm pretty sure that everyone on the swap will compile the CD in that manner. I know I will. For example... I would never part with my copy of 'Skinhead Moon Stomp' which I bought as a lad, back in 1969... but if in a Friday Night Moonstomping session it got broke in two halves, I probably wouldn't rush to replace it. However, if a certain Jackie Wilson 45 of mine got accidentally buggered under a vicious gramophone stylus, I'd be chasing a new copy before the weekend, cos its a "Record I Could Not Live Without!". All agree? Sean
  16. Agree Stevie! If good taste was measured by the pound, The Bull would be an absolute Monster! Mmmmmmmmmmmm Come to think of it............. Top man Bully! Sean
  17. "Records you would never part with...any era, any genre" Love it! Cheers Chris Sean
  18. Is it not appropriate to play a CD at a Soul night - as TOAD suggested - especially when it's the original issue? Sean
  19. It's the 'Walter' effect! Sure, other artists can bring back memories, put you on your knees and move you to tears - but few ever did it as well as Walter. "After You" is particularly poignant at times. Not just beautifully sung, but stunning and meaningful lyrics! Sean
  20. That's cos you're a Chin Dependent Woman, Dawn! Sean
