  1. Good question Nick. I have over 500 records in my play box. All are pretty 'hot'... and I like 'em all! Am I, therefore, intrinsically a 'HotBox' Rarity? Or... doesn't everyone do this?
  2. If the list is endless, does that not then become a 'collection'? Sean
  3. Good call, Rich. Sold to the highest bidder!
  4. Mmmmmmm - I've got that. It's a cheapie isn't it? Don't think I've played it in 30 odd years. Is it any good? Sean
  5. Dinnington boys are always Spot On, Ash. Sean
  6. Wow! Incredible memory! Just sent a shiver down my spine. Great days. And thank you... lots! Sean
  7. Just love Eddie Hinton. I take it that's taken from the (Swedish) "Letters From Mississippi" LP and not a 45? Sean
  8. Absolutely FABULOUS record! Pure Soul. Lovely little mover! Tremendous Vocal. What price this true beauty if a one off? Sean
  9. I've had both Demo & Issue copies of this. Sold them both for under £15 in years gone by. I guess £25 would be reasonable, nowadays, in good nick. Nice boot find! Sean
  10. Only one good store in Salem, as I recall. Had great success there some years ago. Don't remember if it was Skippy Whites. He does still have a store in Cambridge MA. Sean
  11. I've found a site with a partial Discography, Joe. https://paisleyhaze.com/stop.htm The two Tinkers 45's (106 & 107) are later numbers and are both listed as 1966 elsewhere, so we can at least assume its pre '66. https://www.jbpco.freeuk.com/USAList/USAListT.html Star Shot was a Toronto label so I guess you're right on the money :-) Take a look at Jackie performing here! https://visualguidanceltd.blogspot.com/2007...alking-dog.html As a mater of additional interest, Johnny Jones and the King Casuals are the Backing band... with the HyTones on Backing vocals! Sean
  12. Correct title is "I've Really Got The Blues" and I think that its a very scarce release. US artist (and famous Drag) who made it big in Canada (with one of my all time Top Ten 45's) performed in Toronto and recorded this for a Boston label! He was (I believe) a cousin of Little Richard. Got to be prior to his 1963 hit "Any Other Way". The flipside is "Money". Is this the Berry Gordy song? as this might help date it. Both sides featured on a canadian CD "All The Singles" - but in this case it's listed as "Have You Ever Had The Blues" (pretty sure its the same song). Would love to hear it. Dig the pic of Jackie Shane. Sean
  13. Just worth noting, Richard, that the UK issue (should you be offered one) misses most of that incredible intro. One of the greatest Double Siders in history (IMO). Sean
  14. My 'Number One Want' too Gasher! Cash or Top Trades waiting... and waiting... and waiting! Quality. Sean
  15. Finally finished 23 copies of my offering... took weeks to find the time (at over an hour apiece)... and now my lad has just shown me how to do copies in 3-4 minutes... using some new fangled device called i-tunes. Needless to say, I'll knock the other half dozen off before I sit down to me Sunday Dinner. They'll be in the post tomorrow! Thanks for your patience one and all. Sean
  16. Hi Blake, Me and Steve Croft (and I'm pretty sure Darran played it too). Very big record for several months. I reviewed it in BlackBeat at the time... and can remember one guy telling me I must be a 'Jazz Freak' Sean
  17. Cleethorpes Monster! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMFN2e4wMnw Sean
  18. For £900 she'd have to do more than just bloody sit there!
  19. I might be wrong, but I reckon if its just a short 'soundbyte' clip, such as the attached, you can upload as I've done here. Sean PS: What do you reckon to this track then Ian? (Hampsey flogging it to death or what!)
  20. UPTEMPO SOUL Any Good? As good as Kings-Go Whatsit?
