  1. Couple more for thi Pete. Seems even Jonathan King's 'UK' logo got a London Demo label in the US! Sean
  2. Old Cleggy etc. tune from way back when, Russ. The vocal and inst were certainly played back in the day! Sean
  3. Remember, the Mighty 'Bub' always used to play 'Michael The Lover' in memory of Mick. RIP Sean
  4. Pssssst! Wonder if anyone else ever noticed that sometimes this Logo / Label is typeset as 'Innervision' and other times it's 'Innovation'. More confusion... for those who are easily confused! Sean
  5. Bet it was Windy City's "Hey It's Over, Bob. WB 7804 Innervision 7804 Sean
  6. https://www.musicstack.com/album/charlie_dr...#39;t_come_back Load of issues here, Mark. Sean
  7. You're welcome, Andy. It was me and Ian that jumped the gun! Sean
  8. The track that Andy is referring to. Its called "You Brought It On Yourself" - It's on Prelude and a different track to Barbara Hall. You and me both thought he was referring to Barbara Hall's 'Sam Dees' song - but he obviously wasn't, he was referring to the Gayle Adams flip to 'Life Saver' Sean
  9. Reckon I might be able to help you here Baz. The record is by Delia Gartrell (same artist but not on the label as Dee Dee) and it's her last 45 (some time after her 2 Maverick 45's) on the Bahith label. She was 'Dee Dee' at Maverick but Delia thereafter (on Demin-Kalo / Right On / Aware / Bahith). Should make it easier to find with the right info, that is if it's "I've Been Loving You Too Long" that you're after, rather than "What It Takes". Cracking version of the Otis Redding tune it is too! The flipside of Jock's "Second Hand Love" 45 is "Would It Break Your Heart". The other Maverick 45 is "I Must Be Doing Something Right / If You Got What It Takes" Her Right On 45 is a reissue of the local Atlanta label release on Demin-Kalo "See What You Done, Done (Hymn No9) / Fight Fire With Fire. I don't own (and have never seen) the Aware 45 "Beautiful Day (Keep Moving On)". It's Extremely rare but I'm sure you'll have better luck with the Delia Gartrell on Bahith. Sean
  10. Yeh, probably was. We'd all had it for decades, but Saus was the first I ever heard play it out. Sean
  11. I was gonna ask the same question, Ken. The 'Preston Street Dancers' were legendary, in the Clifton Hall days. Used to really liven up the place - even during my last hour! What happened to them? Where are they now? Sean
  12. Shouldn't you be in bed this time o' night? arf! arf!
  13. ONE time Mecca spin Gavin, I revived at Clifton Hall, therefore pre Stafford. Awesome double sider. Sean
  14. Early 70's release Brett. I have it on UK AVCO. Sean
  15. "Not Now But Later" is a fabulous mid deepie! Was issued by UK Kent comp years ago. Top, top, tune! Sean
  16. No 36 Chalky, is that the Nasal mix?
  17. I DJ'd throughout South Yorkshire right through the 70's Ady. Didn't work 'nighters' until Clifton Hall (Whenever that started? 79? / 80?)... but I played it often, initially off the LP before the Revue 45 - and only recently obtained a Gamma copy. Also, I can't help thinking it got issued on a UK label Various Artists LP around 77. At the time I always thought it was well known. Certainly was around my part of the world. I remember John Vincent, late 70's or early 80's turning up with a 45 Sales Box and cheeky begger Bob Steer just pipped me to a Gamma copy... for £3. I've never forgiven him. Still in my all time Top 10 'Northern' dancers. A beautiful record. Sean
  18. The site crashed me last night Darren! But I still clocked young Joanne and Neil before it all went into meltdown!
  19. It was Neil Hemphill's label, out in Birmingham AL. I'm sure I heard thar Sam scouted talent and, of course, was behind the Ebony Essence stuff. What have you heard Gareth? Sean
  20. Definately with you on that one John. 'What You Done For Me' is a Gorgeous side! Sean
