Firstly sorry about your wife, as someone who has plenty of records but few originals the nights where I hear ovo are as important to me as my team wearing blue.
Different horses and all that but ovo is very important to me and many others.
Good luck and brave to open that can of worms.
Not agro, this forum often has frank exchanges, I think at something like a weekender it's fine to have it in a separate room, it certainly beats listening to the 6th playing of some overplayed top 500 spin.
I do see younger people in fairness and they seem to embrace the scene.
I would also agree that for some it's a safe place to socialise.
We can't turn the clock back but we have a duty to try and protect what's left for ourselves and the hopefully next generation.
Absolutely agree , it's a fine record that has been overplayed and became a weird hate figure.
Lots of worse stuff out there but that's a different topic.
I find the filming of dancing at events to be totally wrong.
Regard my nights and days out as my release and think of the filming as annoying.
Regarding the main point of the topic world northern soul dance champion is best left in the distant past.
