Just seen a strange image from Snowfon Andy . Occurring when someone standing in mist as Sun Rises . Some form of Mirage apparently.

Hell of difference to Pembrokeshire to South Coast . In terms of location and winds Storms . More likely to be American Swift . Just my opinion. Probably sheltering behind a Waterfall as it retains Temperature. If one present . I very much doubt seeing a Common Swift in Scotland prior to April . Clue to Swallows . Called English Riviera. Might check out Grimsae Wetlands . Swifts ( Common ) fly in flocks . Not solitary . So in Scotland must be in Lancashire. As it is on Migration path

Can't agree looks Common Swift as they are currently in Africa . Looks more like an American Swift to me . Obviously Blown off Course .

Been out Christmas shopping at Barton Grange near Garstang. For those with little one . The Stable Theme and Christmas Villages are truly stunning. Fantastic Farm shop very reasonably priced . Which we bought all our food for big day . Well worth a visit . Barton Grange .

Selection of pictures out in Snow . Was around foot deep over Jeffery Hill . Incoming Snowball , hit me on the bunce . Following snow frolics our lass lost her ecig . Great day out with the Dogs .

At point of arrow . Sorry my drawing skills are not the best . Entry on left . Set of steel gates mark entrance . Small layby opposite side of Road . Am sure you'll have driven past as many times as us . Before we discovered it . 3 Years driving all areas of Jeffrey Hill till I was in Turkey and my lass took dogs there on off chance .

Approach Jeffery Hill . Coming from Ribchester follow Road all through to Cross Roads . Pub situated on Right corner . Follow Road to Jefferey Hill . About half Mile on left . Also about 1 mile from Jeffrey Hill Car Park on Right . Does not have Post Code . Or one which functions. Look right Small cops of Trees in Moorland . If approaching From Ribchester . To Left Wooded glade with Moorland flanked . Place is Top right of previous cut area . Can be seen with difficulty from Road .

Been here and took photo before. Decided to try take better perspective view of this Lancashire oddity . Best thought is Waterfall in it's long distant past . Though could be a geological creation. More investigations required. Around 50/60ft deep shear cliff faces . Not workings in my opinion .
