  1. Also came out on the 1973 UK Rediffusion various artists Lp entitled "Hey Paula, Hey Baby, Last Kiss . . . and Other American Teenage Classics", which is probably quite rare now. Be warned however, apart from Pic & Bill, 'All I Want Is You', 'Dead' is the only decent track on the Lp. God knows how 'Dead' sneaked out mixed in with this lot. Very strange?
  2. Also, take a closer look at the triangular centre. It's not symmetrical from all three sides. One side has a slight difference, suggesting it is the 'base' of the triangle. Look at us, what a pair of nerds
  3. It's definitely German as it has 'Made in Germany' very neatly pressed into the runout grooves, unlike the UK labels. As for the little blobs 'melted' into the vinyl / label. I'm not so sure that's entirely correct. If you hold the 45 up to the light, you can just see a tiny gap, which means to me that the triangular centre is most probably designed to be carefully pushed out, if need be. Not that I would, for fear of damaging the paper label.
  4. Kind of true but I wouldn't want to dislodge one for fear of damaging the paper label, which are easily equal in quality to the UK labels.
  5. No, it's an integral part of the record. Another thing, did you notice how the triangular centre is NOT equal on all sides. Can't remember the mathematical terminilogy for that last comment?
  6. No, sorry it doesn't. Why?
  7. Try this.
  8. I'll see what I can do.
  9. That's true. Also includes labels like Atlantic, London, Columbia, etc, as well.
  10. Does this mean you have it on South African RCA 7"?
  11. No, it's definitely German and it looks fantastic, especially in mint condition. The vinyl quality is the same as UK but the 'exotic' triangular centre looks amazing. No picture sleeve. And why would the Aussie RCA 7" fetch £100? What's so special about the Aussie 45? Is it upsidedown or something?
  12. Used to be about £75. Not sure what it goes for now? Can anybody else help?
  13. Anybody else got one of these by Varetta Dillard with the silver 'odd-shaped' triangular centre?
  14. How much will you pay for one? PM me if you like.
  15. Yes, I heard that too. Plus I think they asked for a soundbyte. £100. Is that for an issue or demo? Freedom Riders seems to be quoted anywhere between £100 and £200. And sells on eBay anywhere between those two figures these days too. Any views on prices for the original posting? There are some titles yet to be valued.
  16. But catchy. And very well liked by those I see on the dancefloors. Mostly Mods though, I will admit.
  17. Not quite.
  18. Thanks Dundee for your input. That Eddie Burns 45 is a great tune, for both the Mods and the R&B gang.
  19. Hi Mel, Next time I see him I'll get you his phone number. Denbo.
