It's not that bad but can't argue with you it ain't a circa £250 record based on what I've heard but perhaps it might be worth that to some keen collector of small local label obscurities?
  2. Thanks NZ. I'll add all this info to the blank white inner sleeve of my Test Pressing.

I'm sure "Guide Price" means circa £250 for starters.
  4. "I don't know why someone would bother booting those songs anyway, so it could very well be real." That's a good point. Never thought of that. So, good chance it's genuine then. :o) "Two Time Loser" is brilliant. Anybody got a scan of this on the Atco release? Was it ever actually released on Atco?
  5. Anybody? :o)
  6. Tarheel Slim & Annie - Good Night Irene / Two Time Loser I have this 'Test Pressing' for the customer 'Atco'. Is it real or a fabrication? Further comments welcome. Tarheel_Slim___Annie___Two_Time_Loser___Atco_Test_Pressing.PDF
  7. Magic. Thanks.
  8. And you still got the same message?
  9. Tommy, It looks like it's out of stock. You could try buying a used one or a hardback copy instead? Dennis.
  10. Wouldn't mind seeing a scan of the cover. Any chance?
  11. Thanks. Methinks I'll buy one.
  12. Cool. Must get one. Are there any others? Like say, 4 Tops, etc?
  13. Don't know when it was released Pete but it didn't look brand new or that old, so maybe you're right. Just did some research and it was on Movies 24 from 8.30 to 10.30pm Sunday 14th December. I thought it was finished at 9.30 so obviously missed the last part. Think I might go searching for the DVD. Yes, it was superb. Great clothes. And of course, that 60's style!!!
  14. Accidentally stumbled across Part 2 of this biopic. Part 3 is next (obviously), presumably next Saturday night (or was it Sunday, bugger me, can't remember now?). Anyhow, it was on channel 24, I'm sure of it. Careful though, 'cos some rather raunchy soft porno programme came on after it finished. I'd gone to play some records in another room, really got into the mood after watching the biopic, when my youngest lad came in and asked what the hell did I have on telly in the back room, with a big grin on his face. So, well worth watching out for next weekend. The Temptations biopic that is.
  15. Impulse buyer, speculative buyer, occasional plug-hole filler, wants list cosser-offerer, ferret & listen buyer (depends on location), very occasional replace not so good copy for better condition copy buyer, but worst of all, hoarding-all collector - I never sell anything I ain't got two of.
  16. I GOT MY COPY SOME WEEKS AGO. HAD TO RETURN IT BECAUSE THE HOLE HAD BEEN CUT WAY OFF-CENTRE. Sorry for the shouting, left capslock on. But to be fair to the Bloater, he replaced it quickly and without fuss. Soon as I heard it I thought, gotta have a copy of that. Would go down well at any R&B venue in my opinion.
  17. Any chance you might print some hardback copies?
  18. Could be that even though they were actually the 5 (or 4) Chances, they were credited as just the Chances, by design or mistake. Who knows for sure?
  19. Tnink it was JUST the Charms you know, not the Five (or 5) Chances but I can't find the facts to substantiate that, just a memory of what I read a few times in the distant past. Might have been mentioned in the liner notes and session info on the back of the Sing Lp of all her Federal stuff.
  20. Yeah, that WAS a good one!!!
  21. From memory, she only did one 45 on King, all the others being on Federal (and one on Argo). I think this is a re-cut of the original on Federal, with a straight reissued flip from a different Federal 45.
  22. Hi Toby, Howzit goin'? This particular Cobra label has what seems to me like a lot of Garage records on it, not too many R&B or early Soul records, is that not correct? Everything I've heard on it, except for one, have all been non R&B or Soul. Teardrop label is somewhat similar but I do have a few nice early Soul records on that one. Ain't got a thing on Key-Loc. Can you recommend any gooduns on any of these labels? I guess you probably saw quite a lot of these labels during your time in and around Houston? Denbo.
  23. Thanks, that's a start. Not many listed in Cobra? Understand Teardrop and Key-Loc are linked in some way to Cobra. Is that what you're suggesting with these links?
  24. Can anybody help with a list or link?
