  1. Interesting . . . . . but slightly confusing? Also, I wonder what the link is with the Philly based label Prelude which also released the record?
  2. Can't say I've seen any on this label, which is normally orange if memory serves me well? What opinions have you all in regard to the Prelude copy versus this Storm copy? Just looking for general information like, why the two different labels? Info on each label? Etc.
  3. A Demo you say? Didn't realise that. But like you said, still ridiculous!!! PS - I wasn't trying to sell them, just showing scans of them to add further content to the thread.
  4. In my opinion, the Mojo release here in the UK is also muffled. But then, I don't have a US Spring issue to compare it with. Sorry. I can hear the tamborine but no clear hand clapping.
  5. Here you go then, £600 worth???
  6. I collect English too, have done for yonks, but Jerry Butler - Moody Woman - Mercury MF 1122 at £300!!! Never!!! Really??? Can't believe it. Used to see bloody hundreds of them around Liverpool back in the early 70s. Why the sudden interest and massive price???
  7. 300 quid!!! Has the World gone MAD!!!???
  8. Hi Pete, Sorry, not posting to say I have a copy but to say how much I enjoyed your first set at the Hideaway last night. Sorry I couldn't stop to listen to your second set. Take care. Denbo.
  9. Craig (Dave Lister - Red Dwarf) must be getting some practice in as he's on at the Hideaway in Manchester end of January '09. Did you know he used to play professional football for Tranmere Rovers believe it or not.

It's not that bad but can't argue with you it ain't a circa £250 record based on what I've heard but perhaps it might be worth that to some keen collector of small local label obscurities?
  11. Thanks NZ. I'll add all this info to the blank white inner sleeve of my Test Pressing.

I'm sure "Guide Price" means circa £250 for starters.
  13. "I don't know why someone would bother booting those songs anyway, so it could very well be real." That's a good point. Never thought of that. So, good chance it's genuine then. :o) "Two Time Loser" is brilliant. Anybody got a scan of this on the Atco release? Was it ever actually released on Atco?
  14. Anybody? :o)
  15. Tarheel Slim & Annie - Good Night Irene / Two Time Loser I have this 'Test Pressing' for the customer 'Atco'. Is it real or a fabrication? Further comments welcome. Tarheel_Slim___Annie___Two_Time_Loser___Atco_Test_Pressing.PDF
  16. Magic. Thanks.
  17. And you still got the same message?
  18. Tommy, It looks like it's out of stock. You could try buying a used one or a hardback copy instead? Dennis.
  19. Wouldn't mind seeing a scan of the cover. Any chance?
  20. Thanks. Methinks I'll buy one.
  21. Cool. Must get one. Are there any others? Like say, 4 Tops, etc?
  22. Don't know when it was released Pete but it didn't look brand new or that old, so maybe you're right. Just did some research and it was on Movies 24 from 8.30 to 10.30pm Sunday 14th December. I thought it was finished at 9.30 so obviously missed the last part. Think I might go searching for the DVD. Yes, it was superb. Great clothes. And of course, that 60's style!!!
  23. Accidentally stumbled across Part 2 of this biopic. Part 3 is next (obviously), presumably next Saturday night (or was it Sunday, bugger me, can't remember now?). Anyhow, it was on channel 24, I'm sure of it. Careful though, 'cos some rather raunchy soft porno programme came on after it finished. I'd gone to play some records in another room, really got into the mood after watching the biopic, when my youngest lad came in and asked what the hell did I have on telly in the back room, with a big grin on his face. So, well worth watching out for next weekend. The Temptations biopic that is.
  24. Impulse buyer, speculative buyer, occasional plug-hole filler, wants list cosser-offerer, ferret & listen buyer (depends on location), very occasional replace not so good copy for better condition copy buyer, but worst of all, hoarding-all collector - I never sell anything I ain't got two of.
