  1. Yeah, me too, I've been wondering about that one for donkey's years. Mine's 1st September 1951 - no sarcastic comments like Perry Como or Jim Reeves. Got to be a Blues / R&B / early Soul record. I know it's pushing it a bit on the early Soul heading.
  2. Oh, I see. Now I understand. Don't know the record he was referring to so it meant nothing to me when quoted. But thanks for the explanation.
  3. But what is the meaning of the Blue Jays? Don't get it. Sorry, call me thick, by all means, but . . . . . ???
  4. Well of course it does, that's my point. The record is obscure UK release but it ain't that good.
  5. Or, perhaps; The Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is a passerine bird, and a member of the family Corvidae native to North America. It belongs to the "blue" or American jays, which are, among the Corvidae, not closely related to other jays. It is adaptable, aggressive and omnivorous, and has been colonizing new habitat for many decades. Please enlighten us?
  6. Blue Jays? Aren't they a Baseball team?
  7. Not that good really, is it!!!
  8. God, it doesn't look like much when stacked together like that. Hard to believe that those two stacks represent what, 6500 records. Makes you wonder eh, how some guys have collected around 40,000 to 60,000 records during their time. I can't even begin to understand how some people have THAT many records, and I've been collecting, on and off, for 40 years!!!
  9. Or "Stand Up Straight" by Pat & Mik? Billy Butler (Liverpool Mardi Gras, Cavern) has been after this since 1967. Well, maybe not every waking moment. Never turned up ANYWHERE.
  10. But Marc, HOW do you KNOW they haven't appeared on eBay? Ever?
  11. That's true. Point well made if not well taken.
  12. Thanks. Thought it didn't look right. But you got what I meant.
  13. The problem with your question can be summed up in one word . . . . . . I I have never seen . . . I have never heard of . . . It's quite possible that every record ever made has been listed on eBay at one time or another. A possibility that cannot be refuted because nobody has ever seen everything that has been listed on eBay. So, the question is mute and hardly worth pursuing. Sorry to be a killjoy.
  14. Cool. Cheers Tony.
  15. Mp3s have been removed, please refer to house rules. Thanks Nick
  16. But this one surprised me. Is it as popular as all his other London releases? Can't say I've ever seen it before??? Live and learn and still collecting!!! :o)
  17. Off topic Ste. Has John Kelly contacted you yet? If not, give him a call. PM me if you ain't got his number.
  18. Okay, let's see if this works? Bobby_Taylor.mp3 Seeings how I've now got the hang of it, here's the flip called "Ubang! Stomp" believe it or not. Bobby_Tayor_Flip.mp3 Denbo.
  19. I'll try. Still learning. :o) Be patient. PS - It's a slowie. Okay?
  20. Hi Chalky, If you find that 'spare' let me know, I'll take it off your hands for 97p. Seriously, I haven't had time to locate a copy yet, even though I've been given enough pointers.
  21. Wow!!! Thanks. What a response!!! PS - Love this record on Hour Glass. Bute ballad.
  22. I already have it, just couldn't get at it to confirm it was orange in colour. I like it a lot actually. Lovely ballad / melody which I fell in love with when I first heard it on a trip to the US many years ago. But thanks for the info / update.
