My Chappy copy just says "Instrumental" on the flip side of "Price", nothing else.
I'm away from home at the moment so can't investigate further.
Different record to the flip on Nu Beat that much I do know.
Pete, in my eyes, you're THE authority, on here, for Jamaican, hence the question directed straight to you.
Nowt wrong with that, is there?
Stimulates a bit of discussion if nothing else, eh?
Yes, I'm fully aware it had links to Motown but when?
Did Gordy take over the label to acquire certain talent then move on, explaining the later C&W releases?
Just a thought, I honestly don't really know. But then, that's what the forum's all about eh? Learning something new?
Okay, that's interesting. So it wasn't all just C&W after the early releases then.
Still, interesting that a label like this, a small independent label, should have a mixture of Soul and C&W.
Strange how a label can start out releasing Soul records then after just a few releases continue releasing C&W only?
Wonder what happened there?
Could it be somebody bought / took over an already established label then just released C&W from there on in?
This is a German release for those interested in label scans.
Picked this up in MINT condition some months ago. I think it looks just wonderful. Perhaps even better than the UK RCA release, if it had ever been issued here, which it wasn't, sadly.
Anyhow, my US import copy is now up for sale. Best offer secures. Absolutely Mint-.
