Gene, You couldn't PM me a soundfile / mp3 of the UK Philips release could you? A scan would be nice too! I collect UK labels so it might be of interest to me if I like the different take compared to the Mad release. Cheers.

My Chappy copy just says "Instrumental" on the flip side of "Price", nothing else. I'm away from home at the moment so can't investigate further. Different record to the flip on Nu Beat that much I do know.

Yes, it's the first issue. The later releases are different cuts too. If anybody has a copy for sale, it has to be the issue on MAD. Cheers.

Yes, I'm fully aware it had links to Motown but when? Did Gordy take over the label to acquire certain talent then move on, explaining the later C&W releases? Just a thought, I honestly don't really know. But then, that's what the forum's all about eh? Learning something new?

Okay, that's interesting. So it wasn't all just C&W after the early releases then. Still, interesting that a label like this, a small independent label, should have a mixture of Soul and C&W.
