    Somebody at Phonogram couldn't spell, I mean DETRIOT Emeralds, come on, where's Quality Control when you need it. By the way, I've got about 5 or 6 of these DJ Promo Maxi things, were they actually released or only intended for Radio Stations and the like, to help promote up and coming Lp releases? Hmmm? I like both, as well as Don Covay's funky version of Money on the flip.

    Rob Bellars, RIP: For all those who knew him and want to pay their last respects in person, Rob's funeral is on Friday, 4th September 2015 at St. Matthews in Stretford at 11.00am followed by the burial at Stretford Cemetery at 12.00 noon.

    Craig Charles was great in Red Dwarf but that's where my plaudits end regarding the man. He's an embarrassment to all Scousers on the Northern and R&B scenes and doesn't know what the fcuk he's talking about.

    There are distinct differences in the matrix numbers between the vocal and the instrumental, along with other markings that distinguish one from the other. I won't go into what they are but that said, what is the point of all this? If I saw a copy in a shop for sale, or anywhere else for that matter, except on eBay where there might only be a label scan, I would simply play it to check for the instrumental.

    That's the story I heard BUT, the copy I bought back in the early 70s, was off a guy who bought it over the counter in his local record shop. So, some got out there independent of Selecta Disc in Nottingham. Unless of course, this guy bought it from Selecta Disc before they discovered they were all instrumentals and before they shipped them back to Kama Sutra / Polydor.

    You got many of these Kev? A while ago, I was trying to collect these and was in the throws of acquiring everything Brian Rae had of these, which was pretty much all of them. But he ended up donating them to some kind of British Music Library in London. Dratt and double dratt I thought to myself.
