  1. Anybody ever seen a Demo of this early 45? Denbo. PS - Please visit topic about John Kelly's "Missing Record" left at Hideaway last night (Sat 30th May). Thanks.
  2. Did anybody pick up the following record; Baby Washington - Work Out - Neptune Demo at the Hideaway last night? It belongs to John Kelly, who 'accidentally' left it there last night when I gave him a lift home at about 1am. It's a white Demo in a plain white sleeve if memory serves me well. He would appreciate it if the person that might have picked it up for safe keeping, until it was established who it belonged to, would come forward on here or by sending me a PM. Obviously, there's a celebratory drink to be had by the person that returns the record to it's grateful owner. All the best, Denbo.
  3. What, have Chelsea bought a replacement for Drogba already?
  4. 3 room event? Does this mean you will now NOT be alternating the CW and Back Beat rooms on a monthly basis? Will Maximes be exactly like Middleton was, old and new?
  5. Well, if that's no good to you, you could also ask around for a copy on CBS.
  6. THAT'S INTERESTING, DIDN'T KNOW THAT. THANKS.
  7. Luke warm soapy water is okay providing you use a soap containing no detergents, like Dove, and a very soft sponge, a baby sponge is best. By that I mean one used on babies. I've been using that combination since 1970 and have never had any problems whatsoever. Not sure just how deep the above method will clean records but a combination of that plus playing the record immediately after drying it helps lift any dirt and grime inside the grooves. A second wash is sometimes warranted on really dirty records.
  8. Yes, I agree. But by letting others see the scan for themselves, we have gotten to the bottom of the mystery, nes pa?
  9. Show us the scan. What you think is UK Stax, might not be.
  10. Breakout - Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels - Stateside. and Ain't Nothing But A House Party - The Show Stoppers - Beacon. In fact, I'm gonna play them both again, right now!!! Thanks!!!
  11. Oooo, a thread, and not just a posting.
  12. Quite.
  13. 1. Uptight - Henry Jerome 2. No
  14. Boxed London or scrolled?
  15. That may well be very true. I am looking at my issue and that's a boxed London, whilst the Demo on Popsike is a scrolled London.
  16. So, based on popsike, that makes the JA copy TWICE as rare?
  17. Chris, This list is almost the same as the list with your Sales CD except the latter had about 10 or so toward the end that differ from this list, amongst which there were a few I liked. I've left the CD at work, could you PM me a copy of that CD list? One of them was by Buddy Lamp. Is that still available?
  18. Nope, my mistake, mine too is the boxed London type label. Perhaps it's just the Demo's that are scrolled London type label like the one on Manship's auction?
  19. NEARLY correct Rod. The only bit you got wrong was on line 2. That should read 'My Dear Beloved'. Other than that, spot on!!!
  20. Nope, I'm completely wrong. Told you from the start I was confused!!! Printed titles on the label are 'My Dear Beloved' (the rarer of the two) and 'Dearly Beloved'. It's just that the word 'Dearly' is never sung during the whole recording. I think that's what confused me. QED. Sorry everybody.
  21. Sorry, you're wrong. Listen a bit closer.
