Hi Tommy,
Yes, I seem to be okay with stuff up to about 1974. Not sure what year this one was released but it IS one of my all time favourites.
No chance you have a 45 of this?
Dennis.
PS - How's things over there. Miss Oslo like you wouldn't know. All my love to Ingrid and Oskar.
Was hoping to make it over as a Guest at Soggy's Mod Weekender but once again, my family holiday has taken precedence.
Yeah, my pal Kev found a minter less than a year ago at Spitafileld Market for £1.
Sadly sold it for a large amount the same week before I had a chance to find out about it and buy it off him for myself.
FCUK!!!
Thanks mark.
Are we talking about Jonathan Capree or General Johnson?
Gareth x? Is that his Soul Source name? Yes it is, I've since checked.
I'll try Paul Sadot as well. Has he got a Soul Source name? If not, got an email address for him that you could PM me?
Roger Banks played it at the Hideaway Mod Weekender easily a year ago now. Not heard it since.
Was tidying up my 'notes' on scraps of paper a couple of weeks ago and decided I'd try and track a copy down.
Anybody out there with a copy for sale? PM me please.
CAN ANYBODY HELP WITH A COPY OF THIS 45 ???
PLEASE PM ME IF YOU CAN WITH CONDITION AND PRICE, ETC.
ALSO NEED INFO ON THE TITLE OF THE FLIP SIDE UNTIL I CAN TRACK DOWN THE 45.
THANKS.
Thanks a bunch Jaco, much appreciated.
Now, all's I need is confirmation of the flip on the Jonathan Capree and the label number.
Anybody?
Also, am after info, and the 45, of General Johnson's 'Gods Gift To Man' - Invictus. Can anybody help?
Good morning everybody. :o)
I am after the information where you see (???) regarding the following;
Jonathan Capree - (Gonna) Build Me A Mountain / (???) - Ox Bow (???) Need flip side and record label number?
Edith Brown - You Did It / (???) - 4 Brothers (???) Need flip side and record label number?
Gloria Hill - Be Somebody / (???) - Deep (???) Need flip side and record label number?
Hope you can all help.
PM me if you prefer.
Denbo.
And yet the BBC still hang onto the likes of Jonathan Ross. Although, I have read they're gonna cut his wages in half . . . . . to £3 MILLION!!! Scandalous!!! The fact that he gets paid £3 million that is. :thmbdn:
My "more sought after" comment really referred to the AMAZING price fetched for the UK release.
Wouldn't dream of arguing with you on the Backbeat being rarer. Partly 'cos I'm not that knowledgable on US imports, except perhaps the R&B stuff.
Cheers. Thought as much.
Having said that, it doesn't mean it wasn't released in the UK, just that it's valued at less than the UK Record Collector Price Guide minimum of £4 I think it was back in 2000?
Personally, I don't think it got a UK release but this is just a quick but not necessarily accurate way of checking.
Thanks again.
As I'm away from home just now, could some kind person check to see if the following 45 is in the UK Record Collector Price Guide.
Just need to know if it got a UK release?
Freddie Scott - Where Have All The Flowers Gone / Where Does Love Go - Colpix
Thanks.
Well I'll be blowed. Will try that next opportunity I get.
Does this only work / apply with individuals? Can't use it I guess with small businesses? By that I mean members of our fraternity dealing with record sales full time / as a living.
No offence but that's gotta be rubbish.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, PayPal are not a charity, they want and get paid for the service they provide by one person or the other. Simple as!!! Or, should I say, "SIMPLES"!!!
Was never released in the UK as a single, in either 78 or 45 rpm format.
Couldn't swear to it not being issued as an Lp track in the UK but to date, I've never seen or heard of one.
Has anybody ever clapped eyes on a DEMO of this 45 on Okeh?
I've seen a Demo 78 but NOT a Demo 45. Well, not as yet.
If anybody has one, please, could you post up a scan?
