  1. Ha. No, they're just the ones I could think of, off the top of my head. Bidds? Nah. Need my sleep. :o)
  2. Dave Byrne has one too, as well as Soggy in Oslo, from whom I first heard it. I think Tommaso has one as well? So, as you can see, it's not that rare . . . . . just obscure. Seeya at the Rampant Lion when you're over if you're reading this Soggy. :o) Seeya at OOTB on Saturday if you're going Longy. We'll have a chat about my new venue 'Rhythm Shack' in St.Helens coming up on the 5th June. Denbo.
  3. Don't know about the price but the sound quality is remarkable considering the condition.
  4. Crikey, didn't spot that first time. So, having now seen it then I can tell everybody that the UK President Lp cover is the same. Thanks Philippe.
  5. It's a scan of the front cover for the Lp that I was referring to. Anybody? I'll do one myself when I get home at the weekend if somebody can tell me how to scan an Lp cover on a scanning machine not much bigger that an A4 sheet of paper. A photograph might have to do.
  6. Could you, or somebody, post up a scan of the American release Lp and I can then tell you if it's exactly the same as the UK release Lp, or not.
  7. Yep. AND it doesn't look anywhere as nice as the black issue.
  8. Hi Tommy, I want a black issue. Didn't know the issues were styrene and Demos vinyl. Valid point. Still, I like the look of the black issues.
  9. Great record. Just acquired one of these myself a few weeks ago. If you get a black issue, I'll swop you for my Demo?
  10. Yes, I remember now, that 'Since There's No Doubt' was due for an SC120 release. So, it was BMG that I saw at Blackpool Mecca then? Oh well, it WAS about 35 years ago. Anybody got scans if these two respective labels?
  11. Nah, I'm pretty certain it was on 444. And I don't want to worry you, but you were there. :o) Doo doo doo, Doo doo doo.
  12. Although at least one copy did sneak out as I saw it one night at Blackpool Mecca. Can't remember who had it but I think Ady might remember, I think he was there that night? Never seen or heard of it since, except in conversations on here.
  13. Yeah, I've got one Dave. Took me a while but struck lucky one night at my own venue, 'The Somewhere Else Club' at the Burscough FC club house some years ago. Remember that, the infamous GBH mob consisting of Gibson, Byrne & Haw :o) Big Mal, (remember him, wonder where he is these days?) turned up one night with his usual box of 45s plus this box of about 10 Lp's, amongst which was the very rare Kelly Brothers Lp on UK President. MINT!!! :o)
  14. I have a nice Mint pink Demo of this but for me, it's always been one of those great Northern styled records that never did get the recognition it so deserved???
  15. Thanks for doing the honours Pete and sorry Wiggy, haven't revisited this thread all week until now.
  16. Been away? Or running in your new car? :o)
  17. There's many a respected 'old fart' on the New Breed R&B scene who spent most of their youth on the Northern scene, whilst collecting, mostly for their own pleasure at home, as well as Northern records they loved so much, R&B records that were being totally passed over by many of their contempories at the time. It's now, that there is a scene revolving around those very same records they collected 'then', that thankfully allow them to introduce them back to us all, 'now'. So let's not get those people confused with the people you are being derisive towards here.
  18. In answer to the question "Is R&B more to do with Northern Soul or more to do with R&R", and without going off on a tangent trying to compare like for like and ranting on about likes and dislikes of either, (IMO) R&B has more to do with Northern Soul than R&R, as R&B and Northern Soul was predominantly performed and appreciated, on the whole, by mostly black Americans, whereas R&R was mostly more inclined towards, and more likely appreciated by, the white Americans. QED!!! I hope this does not upset or insult anybody, as that is / was not my intention.
  19. C'mon kids, grow up. And you never know, your elders might let you stay up to watch Tommy Steele.
  20. Here's a toughie to find.
  21. How about this one. Does anybody know anything about it. Listed / titled as Donnie Elbert 'Ooo Baby Baby' on UK Avco Embassy But plays 'Come See About Me' instead.
  22. I've got one you can have at £25. Think it's a Demo too. Let me know.

Hi Nige, I've still got my old Va Va badge from '73 in perfect condition. Might take a day or two to find it but it's there. Denbo.

Anybody got a 78rpm copy of this record?

Hi Nev, Now that's worth knowing. Thanks!!! I pay by 'gift' on occasions and always get charged. Probably because all payments come direct from my credit card? Not sure if I still get charged a fee if I have funds in my PayPal account? Can anybody else confirm this? Denbo.
