  1. UK or US Verve Folkways??? Think it only got a UK release as an Lp track. But Id like to be corrected and told that it got a UK 45rpm release???
  2. Yes, I know who you mean. And if it's the same chap, he's really a nice fella but his prices can be quite PRICEY. Still, doesn't seem to account for this anomoly.
  3. Can't get the 'listen here' to work? It's okay now, all sorted. Nice record, wouldn't mind it in my collection.
  4. So that's two Big Maybelle white Demos I know of now. What condition is yours in?
  5. Must be in great shape. Please PM me. Thanks.
  6. What HAVEN'T you got??? :o)
  7. First choice: R&B If I couldn't have that, then a 'quiet' room where you can still here the music in the background for the Allnighter atmosphere but could buy / sell / talk about records.
  8. Was it not released on Stateside Ep? Also, I'm sure I have it on his 10" UK release?
  9. I wish it 'was' me being lazy. No, it's me working away Mon to Fri with only the weekends to get anything done.
  10. Yeah, piles, after spending much of the weekend trying to find the afore mentioned wiring diagram. It's gonna take longer than I expected, now that you've finally got round to reminding me, as my room needs a good tidying up to find 'anything' in there these days.
  11. True. And I've got plenty of them.
  12. Without individually valuing each and every record, is there some kind of rule of thumb method that can be used as a shortcut, say for insurance purposes, or just to estimate total value. I mean, would it be feasible to say that out of 8000 records, 1000 could be valued at an average of £50 each, whilst the rest could be valued at an average of say £20 each. Or is that too simplistic? I suppose it depends on the collectability of the collection. Anyhow, any thoughts? Who's going to kick start the conversation? Pete?
  13. Wanted. This UK released Lp in BEST condition. Please PM me. Thanks.
  14. Hi Kev, What's your surname Kev? Keep me posted on this, I might be able to help out. Denbo.
  15. I think it's because he puts the effort in, by way of regularly presenting his sales in a neat, pleasing, informative manner, with good quality scans and sound files. In the long run, that's what's paying off for him. He has built up a good reputation and a following who look forward to his latest offerings. I take my hat off to him. Tony, seeya Tuesday matey. See my last email as to where and what time etc. Denbo.
  16. Sound. Nice and close to work on High Holborn. :o)
  17. Prefer the vocal flip side myself.
  18. So, have you decided that you're going to do it . . . . . and where? I'm here Monday to Thursday nights inclusive every week, traveling down from St.Helens to work, and would love to see something like this kick-off. Please let me know when and where it's going to be once you've decided. Denbo.
  19. Ha. No, they're just the ones I could think of, off the top of my head. Bidds? Nah. Need my sleep. :o)
  20. Dave Byrne has one too, as well as Soggy in Oslo, from whom I first heard it. I think Tommaso has one as well? So, as you can see, it's not that rare . . . . . just obscure. Seeya at the Rampant Lion when you're over if you're reading this Soggy. :o) Seeya at OOTB on Saturday if you're going Longy. We'll have a chat about my new venue 'Rhythm Shack' in St.Helens coming up on the 5th June. Denbo.
  21. Don't know about the price but the sound quality is remarkable considering the condition.
  22. Crikey, didn't spot that first time. So, having now seen it then I can tell everybody that the UK President Lp cover is the same. Thanks Philippe.
  23. It's a scan of the front cover for the Lp that I was referring to. Anybody? I'll do one myself when I get home at the weekend if somebody can tell me how to scan an Lp cover on a scanning machine not much bigger that an A4 sheet of paper. A photograph might have to do.
  24. Could you, or somebody, post up a scan of the American release Lp and I can then tell you if it's exactly the same as the UK release Lp, or not.
