  1. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated. Are you telling me that your white label Argo copy of Tiny Topsy is; Working On Me Baby b/w After Marriage Blues Like on my UK released Pye International copy? I have never seen an Argo copy with 'After Marriage Blues' as the flip to 'Working On Me Baby'. That's a first. I've always thought that ALL Argo copies of Tiny Topsy were; Working On Me Baby b/w How You Changed I have a brown label issue and a white label 'Demo(?)' as per the above. All very interesting (seriously) BUT it doesn't answer my original question. Anybody else with an answer?
  2. I posted this up on a previous topic called 'PYE (Label of the week)' but got no response. So, seeings how it's been bugging for many years now, I thought I'd try and find out the answer, once and for all, via you guys here on Soul Source. "The Tiny Topsy "After Marriage Blues" in the top right hand corner was titled "How You Changed" on Argo in the USA. I realise the Argo copy was released first in the USA, so really, my comment should read that the Argo title was changed, for some unknown reason, to "After Marriage Blues" over here. Does anybody know why??? Been bugging me for nigh on 40 years!!!" So, any answers??? ipb.global.registerReputation( 'rep_post_1608042', { domLikeStripId: 'like_post_1608042', app: 'forums', type: 'pid', typeid: '1608042' }, parseInt('0') );
  3. Thought I'd got one but sadly it had gone. SO . . . . . still looking. Cash waiting.

  5. What book would that be? Can't imagine ANY book having this listed at $370. Maybe $37.00 So, back on topic, anybody got a copy for sale, at a sensible price? Thanks.
  6. I'm not sure I follow you? Are you agreeing with us or disagreeing with us?
  7. GOD, I wish!!! :o) What a stack a dosh that is eh? £161,000,000!!! I just can't even imagine having that much money.
  8. Ha Ha, yeah, I saw that too. WAY over priced!!! Looking for a REASONABLY priced copy, not some figure plucked out of thin air. But thanks anyway.
  9. Looking for a good quality copy of 'Let's Get On With It' by Clarence Murray on SSS International. Cash waiting. Please PM me if able to help. Thanks.
  10. Thanks mshoals for confirming that for me. Mucho appreciated.
  11. Hi biggray1, Thanks for that BUT I'm pretty sure this is off You Tube where I'm convinced it's been slowed down. They've just used the Texas Vol.2 CD cover as artwork on the You Tube posting. I really need to hear the sound file direct from the Texas Vol.2 CD. But thanks anyway. Can somebody help with an actual sound file from that Texas Vol.2 CD?
  12. Actually Gareth, I've now managed to listen to the OP track on the Peppermint Harris CD(or Lp?) as I'm now back home on my own PC. I can't actually find a sound file from the Texas Vol.2 CD to listen to. You've got the CD I think, yes? Do me a favour then, listen to the track on the Peppermint Harris CD whatever, and tell me if they are both played at the same speed? I suspect the track on the Texas Vol.2 CD might be slower / slowed down. Thanks.
  13. I've managed to latch onto a sound file or two from the Peppermint Harris CD(or Lp?) (which, incidentally, is a various artists release and not just Peppermint Harris) but my PC at work doesn't always allow me to listen to sound files, as was the case here. So, let me know, if and when you're able to listen to the "Sittin Here Crying" track, if it sounds any different to the one on the Texas Vol.2 CD. Cheers.
  14. Hey Gareth, Have you got, seen, or heard the Peppermint Harris CD(or Lp?) I was on about, the one entitled "Ain't That So", supposedly with 'Sittin Here Crying' on it? If it's on this CD(or Lp?), I wonder if it sounds the same as the one on the "Deep In The Soul Of Texas Vol.2" CD?
  15. Thanks. Using Soulfulkindamusic for his discography and the Net for the "Deep in the Soul of Texas Volume 2", that's what I'm coming up with also. Apart from some reference towards a Peppermint Harris CD(?) called "Ain't That So". Can anybody else add any further information?
  16. Not even YOU can help? My God, what's the scene come to? Apart from the above sad fact, how's things with you? I'm STILL looking for a flat in CENTRAL London, around Covent Garden and Holborn. Can anybody help with THAT, seeings how nobody can help with my other request.
  17. Can NOBODY help with this request for information??
  18. I'm after information on "Sittin' Here Crying" by Oscar Perry. In what form was it ever released? Was it released as a single and if so what's the label and flip side? Thanks in advance.
  19. Rediced? Is this copy a UK release? And is it a Demo? It DOES get played EVERY time I get the chance. Always goes down a storm. Denbo.
  20. Please PM me with condition and price. Thanks for your time. Denbo.
  21. That may be true if the box isn't full and you were transporting them from Record Fair to Record Fair, but they'd only move a little. If the box is full, they won't move about at all. I only use them for storage and stacking inside my rather small study / record room, and I've found them to be perfect for my needs. They're definitely the best thing around for storing records at the price that I've ever found.
  22. Oooooh, you're such a perfectionist Pete. I thought it was more like 7/8ths of an inch.
  23. I bought 10 of the solid silver ones that hold about 100 records just last week. They're absolutely brilliant!!! And like chalky said, easily stackable. I chose solid silverbecause they let no light in whatsoever. I was nervous that the see through ones would allow too much light through them and possibly warp the records. Probably wouldn't happen but I was taking no chances.

    Nicky James

And that was about this time last year wasn't it Andy?
  25. Was this record ever pressed up as a bootleg?
