  1. Annisteen Allen - Rough Lover - Decca - Possibly. I'll check for you when I get home at the weekend. Tippie & The Clovers - Bossa Nova Baby - Tiger - Defo got a spare of this one. Minter too. Will get back to you at the weekend if you haven't bought a copy elsewhere before then.
  2. RIP Kell.
  3. I'll find out and let you know.
  4. That's the ONLY label isn't it?
  5. Sounds like Al McCarther to me . . . . just an alternate take, just like it says.
  6. With so many collectors / admirers of Invictus & Hot Wax currently all in one place, do any of you know if "God's Gift To Man" by General Johnson ever come out on a 45, in ANY country?
  7. Thanks. Wiil do.
  8. And what a great record it is too!!!
  9. Welcome back. :D Are we just sticking with UK releases or are we more expansive than that now? 'Cos you used to be a big UK label collector in the past, didn't you?
  10. Cheers
  11. Nice one. Good price? Didn't think you were still collecting?
  12. Cos he's picked one up on UK CBS?
  13. And if so, how can I get in touch with either of them? D T Kenely L Rowlands From the Ormskirk / Skelmersdale area I think? Nothing serious, I have something that they may like to have back, for old times sake?
  14. Hi Martin, Hope you're feeling much better pal? Great find this Radio Sation interview with Renaldo Domino. That first release of his on Twinight "Not Too Cool To Cry" is brilliant, far better than his earlier Mercury (Smash & Blue Rock) recordings.
  15. Why, thank you kindly good Sir.
  16. BUMMER!!! I thought all the Sidra versions were like that. I've just checked another Sidra release on You Tube and I'm gutted to find they're nothing like that one you posted up on Facebook. Where can I get a copy of THAT version? I'll DEFO pay more for that one.
  17. Hi Nige, It's okay, I've found a Capitol version on You Tube. Having listened to it, I'm afraid it's not a patch on the Sidra version, even though the Sidra version does have its raw faults. Sorry about that matey. So, back to where I was with my original request but I'm prepared to up my offer to £30.
  18. Thanks Ernie for your kind offer but I'd really like to hold out for a M- to Ex+ Hope you understand.
  19. Where have all the records gone?
  20. Gene Chandler's version definitely pips it for me. Feels more accomplished and truest to Curtis Mayfield's style. Not that that was necessarily intended.
  21. I'm good thanks Nige. Although I'm off to an old friend's funeral today. Go a sound file of that version?
  22. Can I have an acknowledgement for posting up the original subject matter that led to your label shots with the 'drop shadow effect being adopted? :D
  23. Thanks Nige, you've done it again. After a Mint- to Ex+ copy of Barbara Mercer "Call On Me" on Sidra. Issue or Demo, don't mind. Nice and flat with no label damage. Will pay £25 plus p&p. Will also pay by PayPal as a Gift. Please PM me if you're able to oblige. Thanks.
  24. Are you all talking about one that just sold on eBay for $95? (I'm at work and the office firewall prevents access to eBay and the like) If so, I think you'll find there is currently a demand for the record, as witnessed on here via Wants I seem to remember? Brilliant record. Obviously Curtis Mayfield influenced. Even sounds alot like him. Well, in my opinion anyhow.
