  1. I didn't realise Tony was ill and I'm saddened to hear it. Was only talking (again) about Tony the other week, with my old pal Robbie Dunn from Maghul, in regard to our visits to the Blackpool Mecca via Southport to listen to wonderful rare soul spins from Tony, Les, Ian, Colin, Andy etc. Absolute magical moments that still live with me to this day. God bless you Tony and here's hoping these messages make you feel proud, because you dam well should be. Atb to you pal. Dennis Haw
  2. Please PM me with price and condition. Thanks. PS - Got a Mint Demo copy of 65 Bars - Louis Jordan to trade if interested.
  3. I also think that is correct.
  4. But do your customers know that Pete? I'm not having a go, you kow me, I'm just trying to help clarify things further.
  5. But she's busy right now . . . . . "serving tea, browsing records, and listening to soul all day". :D
  6. Interesting.
  7. Morning Ste, Like I said in my posting, its a recent acquisition.
  8. Morning Mace, My Jetstream copy is also red and white, which to my mind suggests it's a Demo. But you're correct, there are no other markings on the label to confirm it's a Demo.
  9. Good thread Andy.
  10. THREE acetates? I know of one acetate recently owned by Mace first then Longy after that. Longy sold it on to somebody else a few months ago. Didn't know there were another two acetates? As for the two issues, I didn't know about them either. However, I have recently acquired a white Demo if you'd like to add that to your list of known copies?
  11. And what a great tune it is too. Good luck on finding a copy. If I see one I'll put you onto it.
  12. Know what you mean Pete. Seems the more you earn the more you get away with.
  13. Looking for a yellow issue 7" 45 as opposed to the white demo. Please PM me with condition and price. Thanks for looking. Denbo.
  14. Thanks for clearing that up.
  15. I thought that's what you did at work all day anyhow?
  16. Wasn't Prelude a Philly based reissue kinda label?
  17. Thanks again Martin. You out and about yet? Back at work? Whichever, take care pal.
  18. But a lead nonetheless. Thanks for that. Perhaps somebody else might be able to follow up on your 'feeling'. Something I too like about Soul Source, the way we all pull together to achieve one goal.
  19. That's what I was probably hoping for, one of those mainland Europe picture sleeve type releases that somehow escaped recognition for years. As for Randy's favourite, have to agree, one of mine too and have just reminded myself how good it is (and the other mentioned) via the Encore Lp on Wand.
  20. Does anybody know if the following two tracks were ever issued on 45s? Tomorrow King Of The Mountain Thanks for looking and any advice you're able to offer.
  21. Cheers pal, I'll go with that.
  22. Thanks Joe. So, who can confirm this for me (us)?
  23. Hey Martin, How's things with you? Recovering suitably well I hope? Thanks for the info. I'd forgotten it also came out on Candix and after checking the label dicography, I see it's not listed, as your snippet of info would support. However, how do you know it was a circa '61 release, or non-release as the case may be?
  24. Does anybody know when this was released? What year?
