  1. I think this discussion about pink and orange Arvee labels has raged before and the outcome was that pink does not mean Demo. But you'd have to check Soul Source archives to confirm that.
  2. I don't know about all the other stuff but an explanation regarding your last paragraph could be attributed to how the Popcorn scene speeds up or slows down a record to suit their particular style of slow jiving. That's just a possible explanation and not necessarily a fact. As for the other stuff that Ady was talking about earlier, I wish I could offer you the link to a certain guy on You Tube who's personally campaigning against this 'big downloading type company', starting out for personal reasons as it was affecting his ability to earn a legitimate crust but has gone further than that now I think. Anyhow, I can't give you the link as I'm at work and our office firewall prevents me from doing so. It won't allow me access to You Tube. So hopefully, somebody else reading this that knows what I'm on about, may be able to do so on my behalf? I have a feeling this subject may warrant a separate topic heading / thread?
  3. Yes, my copy is orange. In fact, I used to think pink copies were Demo's I saw so few of them.
  4. That's interesting. Didn't realise there were pink copies of this release too, like the afore mentioned Let's Start A Romance.
  5. Thanks Ricky BUT . . . Only one of the two sides I'm after sound files of was available on that website and that one was a recent re-recording. So, still holding out for sound files of this record, both sides if at all possible. PLUS, if anybody has a copy for sale, please PM me. Thanks.

  7. That recording doesn't do it proper justice imo but great to hear it again nonetheless. Thanks for posting it up.
  8. Good deal and crackin' record.
  9. Bloody hell.
  10. Sorry Pete, my boss had the audacity to hurry me up on a job I'm supposed to be doing for him. Nice radiogramme but not for me. Thanks anyway.
  11. Pete, got any like this one above?
  12. 8.VALUES - RETURN TO ME - INVICTA - wol - VG+ £40 Superb record. Also came out in the UK on Ember.
  13. Sent you a PM Paul
  14. Yes, you lose a lot off an Lp for some reason. Something to do with the Hi-Fi and the lack of space for the grooves to move about in. Remember those hazy days of 12" singles when the grooves had all the space in the world to move about in, hence the magnificent range of tones and the awesome bass sounds that had the huge speakers at venues like the Ritz pushing out great volumes of air across the dance floor. Brilliant.
  15. That would be interesting if it was an Ep. I don't own an Ep or a 45, just the American released Lp. I got a 45 cut from the Lp for convenience.
  16. A previous posting above shows three Lp sleeves. My contention is that the top one is the American issue, and the one I've got. The second one down was unknown to me before today and may well be the so-called re-issue. The last one is the Mexican issue. At least that's what I think it is, having seen it before on a web page from a guy who travelled around Mexico and says he bought that Lp whilst there. As for the Lp track being a different cut from the single. Who can say? The best way to find that out is if somebody sells me the 45 and I'll compare them both and come back to you later with my findings. So, if anybody out there has got a copy of the 45 for sale, please PM me and we'll sort out payment.
  17. Is Tax due on second hand items? Like second hand clothing?
  18. Out of the three Lp covers shown, the top one is the American release, which I have, and the bottom one is the Mexican release. The middle one is new to me so thanks for that.
  19. I think it's probably the case that the Lp was released in Mexico and America at the same time, or very close, without the American release necessarily being a re-issue. As for the 45, I'm pretty certain that was only ever released in Mexico. As for this 're-issue' you mentioned then yes, further information about this would be useful. Can anybody else help?
  20. You think there's a re-issue? Do you mean a re-issue 45 or Lp? And do you know what label the re-issue is on, if not on the orignal label?
  21. Thanks guys. A sound file would be great but I'd be happier with an actual copy if anybody has one for sale?
  22. The Post Office will keep the packages for one week if it's Recorded. And all other items for 3 weeks before returning to sender. I have another question for everybody. Is there a right of appeal? If you think that a Tax + charge has been incorrectly made, can you appeal the charge. Also, is Tax due on second hand items? Like second clothing?
  23. Looking for info on this record. A label scan. Sound file of each side if poss. And a copy for sale if anybody's got a spare. (Please PM me if you do?) Thanks guys.
