  1. I've seen the A-side with the Parlophone label but Tamla Motown label on the B-side. I've got the A-side with the Tamla Motown label and the B-side with the Parlophone label. Was wondering if there's a copy out there with the Parlophone labels on both sides? . . . . I know, I'll get me coat
  2. There's also two Ric Tic 103's Barbara De Costa A: Now I Know B: The One In Your Arms and Edwin Starr A: Agent Double-O-Soul B: Agent Double-O-Soul (Instrumental)
  3. Sorry Chalky, please ignore this post. It has been superceded by the one above it. Hopefully I'm correct with my analysis and that you agree with it???
  4. Right, I've cracked it . . . I think. 101 - Sue Perrin- I Wonder / Put a Ring on My Finger (1962) 102 - Joyce Webb - You've Got a Whole Lot of Living to Do / Closer to the Blues (1962)** 103 - Barbara De Costa - Now I Know / The One in Your Arms (1962)** 104 - Sue Perrin- You Are My Love / Ring Bells Ring (1962) 105 - Rocky Hart - Someone Stole My Baby Doing the Twist / When a Teenager Gets Blues (1962) 106 - Terry Warren - I Don't Know / Written All Over Your Face** 107 - LeRoy Smalley - Ain't It a Shame / Girls Are Sentimental (1963) 108 - Joyce Webb - It's easier said than done / Laughing to keep from crying Those above were all Golden World recordings but those with the ** attached were released on the Ric Tic subsidiary label and not Golden World. All the others were released on Golden World and not the Ric Tic subsidiary. QED
  5. Thanks Smudger, seen that already
  6. Can nobody help? UK Tamla Motown enthusiasts?
  7. Sorry, I was wrong to say that, they ARE Ric Tic labelled releases BUT they are ALSO Golden World labelled releases. Looks like I've just created myself a new series of records to collect
  8. This misprint, is it only the A-side that has the Parlophone label, or both sides? Would love to see a scan of the label(s) if somebody could post it / them up
  9. Anorak away, don't let me stop you They may well have GW matrix numbers(?) on the labels but the Joyce Webb is a Ric Tic Records release, as is the Freddie Gorman.
  10. 101 - Sue Perrin- I Wonder / Put a Ring on My Finger (1962) 102 - Joyce Webb - You've Got a Whole Lot of Living to Do / Closer to the Blues (1962)** 103 - Barbara De Costa - Now I Know / The One in Your Arms (1962)** 104 - Sue Perrin- You Are My Love / Ring Bells Ring (1962) 105 - Rocky Hart - Someone Stole My Baby Doing the Twist / When a Teenager Gets Blues (1962) 106 - Terry Warren - I Don't Know / Written All Over Your Face** 107 - LeRoy Smalley - Ain't It a Shame / Girls Are Sentimental (1963) 108 - Joyce Webb - It's easier said than done / Laughing to keep from crying These were Golden World releases, not Ric Tic / Ric-Tic releases.
  11. 105 - Rocky Heart - Someone Stole My Baby Doing the Twist / When a Teenager Gets Blues (1962) This should read Rocky Hart, not Heart.
  12. I'm sure this is very old news but what's the score regarding Ric Tic 102 being the release number given both to Joyce Webb and Freddie Gorman?
  13. For any collectors among you coming on Sunday 17th April, we have a corner where you can buy and sell records if that's your thing. There's no wall sockets so if you bring a player to play them on, make sure it's battery operated.

  20. Hi Laurie, I've very recently completed the full set now except No.1 but thanks for getting in touch. I may have somebody else interested in what you've got, perhaps you could message me with condition and asking price and I'll let him know. I've not heard from him for a while so it could also be a little while before I get back to you, but I WILL get back to you.

  23. So why did Chips stickers have individual employee names on them too?
  24. Now I understand that Chips was a record distribution company and that Weldon McDougal worked there but why is his name on so many Chips stickers that I've recently seen on American record labels of various descriptions?
  25. Question for all you US Stax label collectors. Is there some significance to a few releases having the serial number on the left as opposed to the vast majority being on the right. Does it signify a boot or repro?
