  1. Thanks very much Gene and Tony for all the facts and information above. A damned good read. I need to alter my Wants list accordingly. Do either of you have an extensive list of all Okeh recordings released over here on UK labels?
  2. These JK Series 45s Gene, were they UK releases? Well, produced for the Juke Box industry but not for general release?
  3. Thanks Tony. Thanks also for the reminder on the 'Peanuts' by Little Joe Cook and the Thrillers 45. Forgot all about that one!!! Will have to add it to my little Wants list posted above. Re Doc Bagby, how can this be a 45 when SJH came out later, well very next release number in fact, but only as a 78. You might have explained that above but I've not understood your explanation. Sorry, I'm a bit thick you know.
  4. Thanks Lee, but I'm just after the UK Fontana release.
  5. Not 100% sure about that Pete. I mean, the Doc Bagby was released on Fontana before SJH and yet that's on a 45. I have the SJH on a UK Fontana 78 already but am really after the 45.
  6. Can anybody help me with at least an Exc condition copy of this? I keep missing it. I'd find it then forget to go back and bid on it. It's driving me nuts!!! Also want on UK Fontana; Doc Bagby - Dumplin's Screamin' Jay Hawkins - I Put A Spell On You I collect Okeh recordings released here in the UK and the above 3 keep eluding me.
  7. That's easy, Christine Cooper - Heartaches Away My Boy - Parkway
  8. Remember buying this record a while back because I thought it sounded so much like the Five Stairsteps.
  9. I think the bull fiddle should make a comeback.
  10. Oo-Ma-Liddi Online price guide shows cheapest at $40, most expensive at $292
  11. A very plausible answer to my earlier question(s). Thanks Ste.
  12. Don't be.
  13. Err, okay then. No! Now are you going to tell us why?
  14. Good question. Why?
  15. Not at all.
  16. What's a femlale?
  17. Wish I'd seen them.
  18. And yet my Parlophone 78rpm one-sided Demos were released in 1957.
  19. Nice. Stil got them?l
  20. Good point. But I was told that it was done like that so they wouldn't / couldn't play the wrong side. Your suggestion sounds more feasible to me now that I've heard it.
  21. Especially in absolutely stonking MINT condition. To be honest, I've never seen any other single-sided 78rpm Demos I guess I would if I knew more UK labelled Rock & Roll collectors perhaps?
  22. I didn't know that. And your reasoning makes some kind of sense. I do like those two one-sided Demos and have a few. I've even got an Otis Williams & the Charms on a UK Parlophone 78rpm as twin one-sided white Demos, they look really cool.
  23. In MOST cases, I'd much rather have the issue. Having said that, the variety of Demos on London do look nice.
  24. Don't think it matters what's hiding inside Flynny's sleeve, sleeves can easily be swapped. There'll be some rhyme or reason for the picture sleeve releases, I just wish I could get to the bottom of it.
